Miraculous: Time-travellers

Chapter 9

Gabriel went about his day as always. Check his reports, follow his schedule, try to keep it to himself that his master plan was gradually falling apart.

He had captured Ladybug and Chat Noir, but then they disappeared without a trace.

They must have escaped.

But how?

That seemed impossible.

Unless of course...

No, there was no way.

It couldn't be.

The Chat Noir and Ladybug that have been defeating his akumas had to be the same ones who he captured.

But how did they escape?

His plan was foolproof.

The could not escape even with their miraculous.

They only possible explanation was that they faded away. 

As if they had simply vanished out of exsistence.

And as absurd as the idea sounded, Gabriel could not dismiss the idea.

Because he knew all too well the cost of time travel.

"Gabriel, you have to stop it's too risky."

"But were so close, Emilie!"

"You've gone too far!" She protested.

"But, imagine having that power!"

"Power to do what Gabriel? You are a fashion designer! Not a hero!"

"I may not have a miraculous like you, but this could be my way of helping the world."  He rebuked.

"Gabriel," she paused. "Sometimes this kind of power just isn't meant to be controlled."

He was not about to stand down.

"But, I could create a peace!" he argued.

Her head shook, "Not like this."

Taking her hands into his own he whispered, "but I could fix you,"

She tore her hands away.

"I don't need fixing Gabriel! Things do not need to change. We have each other and Adrien. Isn't this enough?"

"I'm doing this for Adrien! He could be safe too!"

"You need to stop now,"

"No Emilie! This is my only opportunity to change the future!"

She went silent.

"Well," her voice broke. "I hope you know what you're getting into."

A series of emotions crossed Gabriel's face, but he could not turn back now, he had made his decison.

With that he let the power overtake him.

The painful memory made Gabriel jolt.

But he could not think about that now.

He had to focus.

A bright light emerged before his eyes.

It was the shouts and noises coming from inside stirred Adrien from his sleep in the early hours of the morning.
