Chapter Four
Savannah Summers
"Savannah?"
I jump a little as I hear my name as I rip my gaze off of Justin's eyes and look at the guy behind him, who turns out to be my best friend, Logan. And I am pressed against a wall from a stranger, great.
"Hi," is all I'm able to say, my cheeks heaten up in embarrassment.
"What are you doing?" Logan knits his eyebrows in confusion. "And who is this?"
"His name is Justin." I mumble, avoiding the other question on purpose since I can't really explain to him why I'm pressed against a building.
I look at Justin for a second who didn't even move a single inch yet, but his eyes are locked on my best friend what makes me wish I could read his mind to know what's going on in it.
No one says a word for a few minutes and I just get more uncomfortable. So I put my hands onto Justin's chest, softly pushing him away.
"I wanted to call you." I say, looking at Logan and ignoring Justin who was now watching my every move.
"Yeah but seems like you got distracted huh?" My best friend replies, lifting his eyebrows.
I open my mouth but before I can even reply, Justin interrupts me already.
"So are you two fucking?"
"What? No!" I gasp and the heat rushes into my cheeks immediately.
"Good to know." Justin chuckles, his eyes hard on mine.
"I gotta go now." I mumble as I hug Logan and leave him with a quick bye and I'll call you later.
The rushed good bye obviously left my best friend even more confused than he already is, but I would think about an explanation and talk to him later.
Before I can even look behind to see how far Justin's away, his figure already appears right next to me. His already familiar smirk on his lips but he doesn't say a word, and neither do I.
So we walk back to my house in complete silence and it is pretty calming and not uncomfortable at all.
I can't deny the fact that I catch myself looking at Justin way too often. But he was just full of secrets and it was exciting but also frightening. One second he's so dangerous and it seems like he can't even control his own anger and the next second he's making jokes and laughing. His mood changes so quickly and it's always so unexpected.
I'm pretty sure he's bad news but there's something about him that makes him so interesting. I really don't know. But he's different. So so different than the guys from my school. They're all full of clichés and all the same. Everyone wants to be the most popular kid and everyone want's their girlfriend to be one of the cheerleaders. They all want to be in the football team because they think every girl wants a member of it. It's so annoying and boring.
And Justin does whatever he wants. It doesn't seem like he cares abou anything or tries top lease anyone but himself. Literally. But I probably know nothing about Justin though. It's all so confusing.
"I'll call you." Justin says as I walk towards my front door.
"Uhuh." I say as I open the door and walk inside.
My mind is too busy with my thoughts to make up another reply, but before I close he door I catch a last glimpse back at Justin whose eyes are still on me. And I bite down onto my bottom lip as I close the door.
