Ashley's POV
I check the time as I pull into Angel's driveway; it's eleven. She must be awake by now. I take out my phone and text her to tell her I'm here. I sit in the car, listening to Angel's CDs, and wait. After about ten minutes I decide to call her. It rings, and rings, and rings, and goes to voicemail. I sigh and get out of the car. I walk up the steps and ring the doorbell. I wait. I ring it again and wait some more. I see that there's a window open and I can see my face through it; Angel's room. I stand outside the window and call her name. There's still no answer. I call her phone again and it goes to voicemail once more. I'm starting to get anxious, Angel seemed like the type of person who slept lightly enough to be woken by a phone call, especially two in a row after a text. I decide to head to Alicia's to see if she knows what's up with Angel. I knock on the door and a younger man answers. I recognize him from Angel's pictures.
"Hi Craig, I Alicia there?" I ask softly.
"Stay here." Craig disappears into the house and Alicia comes charging down the stairs and throws herself into my arms.
"Please tell me you know where Angela is." She says hopefully.
"I was actually gonna ask if you knew." I say. She suddenly looks very worried and checks her phone. "Why, did something happen?" I ask.
"I don't know. I heard yelling from her house late last night and Angela wasn't answering any texts or calls. So I went over there and let myself in with the key she gave me. She's not there. I think she's run away!" She's crying by the end of it.
"What makes you think that?"
"Two years ago she got really, really depressed and started talking about running away all the time. She's kept a bag packed full of clothes and blankets and stuff ever since then. She's kept it under her bed so her mom doesn't find it. It's not there. And her guitar is gone too, and her I-pod which practically lives on her desk and never leaves her room. The Flash Drive isn't in her laptop and she always said she'd just take that instead of bringing the whole laptop, she has all her music and stories on there. Everything she'd take if she was running is gone." She's practically sobbing now. I wrap my arms around her and she just cries for a while.
"It's okay, we'll find her." I say reassuringly.
"I've already got Collin and Sean out on the streets looking for her. There are so many places she might go."
"If you can think of any place in particular I'll take you; I have her car." Alicia looks up at me, yes, up. She's about an inch shorter than Angel, so she's two inches shorter than me.
"I'm driving, I know the neighborhood and you don't." She says. I just nod and hand her the keys. She takes them and runs across the lawn. She runs up Angel's front steps and unlocks the door.
"What are you doing?" I ask.
"Getting her contact lenses, she didn't take any of them with her." She explains. I wait as she runs to get them. I decide I'd better let the guys know what's going on. Alicia comes back just as Andy picks up.
"Hey, what's up?" He asks.
"Angel is missing." I say, getting strait to the point.
"Wait, what do you mean missing?"
"She ran away. She got in a fight with her mom last night and ran away."
"How do you know?"
"I'm with Alicia, she's freaking out."
