Angela's POV
"Play-Dough flavored Ice-cream?" Dahvie asks disbelievingly, crinkling his nose up in distaste.
"It tastes better than you'd think. It tastes nothing like Play-Dough, trust me, I know. Don't ask." I say. He raises an eyebrow. "Anyway, it's actually kinda fruity. It's my all-time favorite Ice Cream flavor."
"Did you actually eat Play-Dough?" Ben asks. I sigh.
"It was a dare from my old friend Brielle when we were ten. The next year she turned into a total bitch so I'm not friends with her anymore." I explain.
"Please don't mention her. I always hated her." Alicia says.
"I know, Babe. But he asked." I kiss her cheek.
"Does everyone know what they want?" The girl behind the counter asks. I look at her, and freeze.
"Harriet?" I ask. She turns to me.
"Oh my God! Angela! Look at how much you've grown! And you're hair looks awesome." We hug awkwardly over the high counter. Everyone is staring at us like we're insane.
"This is Harriet; she's my grandparents' neighbor. She used to babysit me when I lived there." I explain. "How long have you been working here?" I ask, turning to her.
"I just started last month. I needed a job for the summer before I go back to college in the fall. I'm going to Princeton. I was going to OCC but I finished there this year." She says.
"Oh my Jinxx, that's awesome." I say, grinning hugely.
"Dare I ask?" She asks.
"This is Jinxx." I say, grabbing him and pulling him forward. "I don't believe in God, so I say Jinxx instead." I then continued to introduce everyone else. She raised an eyebrow questioningly when I introduced Alicia as my girlfriend, but thankfully didn't say anything. We all ordered our ice cream, me getting Play-Dough with M&Ms and Reese's Pieces on top. I didn't even have to tell Harriet what I wanted. She used to take me here and I've gotten the same thing every time since I was eight. The others go to grab us tables while I talk with Harriet for a few more minutes until another group of teens come in, and I recognize three of them as girls who had bullied me in middle school. I give Harriet one last hug and quickly leave before they recognize me. I guess I walked a little too quickly to the table because Alicia notices.
"Something wrong babe?" She asks.
"Jenna, Michelle and Victoria are in there." I say quietly. She quickly turns to face the door and glares. She knows the names of all of my more persistent attackers. They were three of the worst.
"If they come anywhere near you they had better have learned to run very fast, because that's the only thing that will save them." She growls. Now all the others have noticed something's up.
"What's going on?" Andy asks.
"Three of my old attackers are here." I say simply.
"Attackers." Alicia scoffs. "Tormentors is a better word to describe them."
"Don't worry; we won't let them hurt you." Ashley says, reaching across the table to rub my arm reassuringly. I just nod.
"They probably won't even recognize me. I look a lot different then I used to." I say hopefully.
"Yeah, but I don't. If they recognize me, they'll put two and two together and realize who you are." Alicia says. The door opens then and the group comes out and sits at a table on the opposite side of the door than us. I can very clearly see the three girls I named, and I can name each and every one of the others as well, though most of them never really bothered me much. I do recognize Jeff, Michelle's longtime boyfriend. He'd always been even worse than the girls. Alicia literally growls when she spots him. I put a hand on her arm to keep her from running over to them.
