Broken Crown (Afterdeath story)

Chapter 1

(Genos P.O.V)

I jolted awake And franticly Looked around my soul beating fast "It was only a night mare" I mumbled trying to shake it away The sun was up, I looked around my surroundings to see where I crashed Last night It seemed to be some abandoned Building I shivered Even though it wasn't that cold Thankfully, I got up my knees Cracking in the processes I stretched I better Get a move on I thought and grabbed my Bag Stepping out in to the day light careful not to get caught by guards.

As I strolled along Hiding my face Every time the guards walked by I pickpocketed some fancy lady Wearing a pink dress she must be of high status But she's a easy target I thought with a sly grin. I pulled out a Five coin from her Pocket, Score!  There was a few more easy targets But not much of them where of high status more of  a commoner one I stopped after Four more people I cant get greedy I don't want to have to run from the guards like last night Jeez I think there starting to Realize my pattern though I'm to quick for them.

I headed market square Though I steal From Them people I wouldn't Steal From the market people especially my good friend Fresh he sells bread some where... Ah There I thought As I headed over "Yo Hey Geno" I swear The way this guy speaks he's ahead of his time I chuckled "Ah The usual"I said shrugging  "So what will it be today" "Two Loafs" I handed him what I collected "I guess business was good no?" he thinks I Work For a merchant "Yeah you could say that" I grabbed the loafs off of him " Thanks see ya around" I said Turning to walk away I heard him call back "Yep Cya!" I tore half off half the bread and began to eat it Looking Up At the looming castle We where the closet City To the Castle People would think we saw The royal Family Often But we don't Infact I don't think anyone's heard or saw anything of them in years "Weird" I mumbled Through The bread in my mouth I continued to walk around like I always do through out the day.

The sun began to set I watched it colours where beautiful I thought to my self Taking in the breathtaking view I leaned on the stone wall from hear you can see it perfectly I smiled Its like All the bad things where taken away I shut my eyes Taking it in. How ever my peace was short lived when a voice was spoken "Normally when people watch the sunset they have there eyes Open?" I sighed Who dose this person think they are I opened my eyes and narrowed them and looked to where the voice came from "Don't you know its rude To ruin some ones quite time?" I said scornfully The rude Person who interrupted me Was some Guy who had a black cloak with the hood pulled up hiding most of his face from view he chuckled but it was kind of cold "well sorry for interrupting then" he had a posh accent Some one who lived high-class But why would some one high class first of all talk to a street rat like me and be hear anyways? also Look like that this guy looks as if hes gonna break in to someone's home. I shook my head "Why are you hear anyways?" not even looking at him anymore He walked closer besides me and Rested his arms On the wall to staring at the sun set I slid away I don't want him getting to close if I have to run 'Oh am I not aloud to enjoy the sun set too?" I didn't say anything hes got a point we stood in silence for a moment Watching as the colours changed "Soo Do you watch it often?" "Yes i do" i should probably keep my answers short I don't know what This guys deal is yet for all i know he could be Waiting to kill me. "I wish i could.." he said longingly This got me confused "why cant you?" he shrugged Then turned to me"So what's ur name?" this caught me off guard He must have saw my reaction "I get it you don't give your name out often? Well Anyways My names Reaper." he held out his hand for me to shake I hessintly shook it and now i could see his face fully He was a skeleton taller then me a slight scar over one of his eye sockets so it was blacked out and his eye lights where white but he had bags under his eyes which made them look hollow.

He turned To look down the street Well i better get going it was nice meeting you even though i don't know your name he paused thinking for a moment He handed me A TWENTY gold coin!! "Oh MY gosh How? I-"  he cut me off "You look like you need it more then me he took my hand and placed the coin in it Then before i could even thank him or say anything he was gone. I was baffled Speechless even staring at the coin in my hand, Who even was that guy? Why was he so nice to me?
