Chapter 20

(Genos POV)

I heard Humming every so softly With out opening My eyes I pretend to shuffle trying to figure Out where I fell asleep and who that Humming was I felt deffintly not a pillow On my chest Unless You count a Pillow Moving Up and down listening closely I heard a faint soulbeat, wait what?! iJoltred Up falling Off the tiny bed we shared landing with a thud A sea Of blue coverd My face Covering My eyes and face with My hands I mentally screamed in my head hearing a soft laugh I slightly Peaked Up through My fingers Seeing Reaper peering down at me Trying to hold back a laugh and Holding his good hand out to me Looking at it For a brief second and taking it hessintly He Pulled me up "Did You forget Where You where sleeping?" he asked Jokingly I just rolled My eyes trying ti Hide My emberersament Seeing a chair near the bed I quickly sat Folding My arms. "awe is the baby upset?" he teased "I-IAM NOT" I screeched Causing some nurses to pop there heads In concerd But reaper Chuckeld and waved them off Huffing and Pouting Reaper then Smiled "Awe Love I'm just teasing"  Blushing at what he called me And I was about to question it when I jumped at errors Voice "Heh I see You recoverd Reaper" he said "Oh you bet" he said Speaking like he was a old friend Maybe They where? who knows I thought turning My head back to reaper "How are you feeling?" error asked Walking forward hands behind His back "A lot better thank You also Thank you fixing my vision how did you do that?" Reaper asked Puzzeld and I turnerd my head Back to Error Realizeing Yeah how did he do that? error only smirked "if I told You I would have to kill you" he winked "well take as Long as You need to recover Your guards have to the Kingdom you are Okay so No need to rush" Reaper nodded "Thank You error" error nodded turning to leave "Your welcome, ah and one thing Dust Has feld back to his Kingdom and hes Out for blood towards all of us I think this war isn't over yet" reaper Nodded thinking "Now that hes got a cause Hes Going all out and putting out claims to the neighboring countrys To join him" he sighed and left Leaving The Room silent.

(Reaper POV)

Feeling the The soft  icy flakes On my Face was Nice Closing My eyes taking it all in We where Heading Over to the ClawThorn castle just Farther Inward of the country From hear. its usallly just for vacations but because of my  impending business We must go, The castle was In a rush preapering for me to leave There will be servants there who where Looking after the castle While We where Gone, It would be the first time I revisit that place since the before the death of my parents The staff there will be seeing me for the first time in years "Reaper sir Everything is prepared to leave now" said a maid timidly I nodded and turnerd around "yes thank you, Ill be out in a minuet I must check something before We leave" she nodded curtsing and Left back in to the warmth of the castle.

(Genos POV)

We where supposed to leave half a hour ago where behind schedual turning to a maid I asked "Have You seen Prince reaper?" she nodded "I think hes In the green house?" nodding I strided down the familiar corridor stepping in to the green house Instantly hit with the scent of roses I saw Reaper staring at the Roses With a dreamry Look on his face Clearing My throught try to get his attention He looked at me silently before speaking "yes?" "We where supposed to uh leave half a hour ago" I said he Looked at me tilting his head slightly before the words processed "SHOOT" he jumped Up grsbbing My hand and dragging me down the hall Stumbling I tried to regain My balance he opend the large door sending the sting of a cold wind Wafting on my cheekbones We Quickly stepped In the carriage and It instantly set off sending me flying To the seat across Where reaper took his place, I face planted in to his chest "Oof" he said Trying to stop me laughing Rubbing My skull I scrambled  Back In my seat trying to Brush my self off shaking My head.

(Reapers POV)

Looking out the window Of the large Castle Staring at the bleak scenery In front of me was kind of boring I got to admit But it gave me time to think Scanning the horizon for nothing In particular I found My thoughts drawing back to geno The way He smiled And laughed Kind of makes My soul flutter But that's ridicules IM being ridicules This is all just some silly act, sighing I walked Over to my fathers  desk wait not his MY desk which is  Cluttered With paperwork leaning back In my chair I Looked at some of the papers Just the usual things About troops letters from villages Just boring stuff A knock sounded at the door "come in" I said flatly still Looking at the mass of paperwork In front of me "Are You busy?" I heard geno hessintly ask "Why" I replied still not Looking at Him "w-well I uh was wondering If you wanted to go for a walk...?" taking a deep breath frowning I stood Up grabbed My cloak "Okay then lets go"

(Genos POV)

Our footsteps crunched On the fresh snow digging my hands in my pockets, We mostly walked In silence Only exchanging small talk hear and there Looking at the snowy path and then back at Reaper I noticed he had a deep frown on his face Working Up as Much courage I could muster I asked "Is something bothering You?" he was silent maybe hes not going to answer "Yes actually" he replied flatly again stopping I turned to this Tree that didn't have as much snow around it and sat patting a spot beside me he stopped too and turned to face me tilting his head ever so slightly making My soul skip a beat "C-care to talk about it?" I said smiling nervously Pausing for a brief second he walked over Sitting down beside me Leaning ever so slightly On me causing My cheeks to be dusted with blush Hiding My Cheeks with my scarf I Looked at Him ready to listen. "Being a future King is hard Geno" he sighed resting his head On the tree now clearly frustrated I nodded for Him to go On " Like I'm way to Young for this Job I wasn't supposed to be King For at least 10 more years But hear iam Barley 20 and Running a whole country" giving a sympathetic look I answered "i cant even imagine what its like" Reaper Pulled His knees Up close Hugging them to his chest Kind of now Looking like a small child Realizing How Young He really Looked I mean we are the same age But He appears and acts Older then he really is But now.. "I don't know If I can do this" he whispered I grabbed His chin making Him look at me "Reaper I can never Imagine what Its like But you got to stay Determined You will and are a Great Ruler I know It gets hard sometimes But You will get through it and If its too difficult Don't worry Your not alone..There's some people who really care for ya.. I said reassuringly Whispering the last part Reaper must Have heard that and Pulled me In to a hug Earing a shocked gasp from me he whisperd where My ear would be "Thank you, Geno."
