Chapter 31

(Reapers POV)

I didn't get much sleep that Night I don't think Geno had either Dream came with soldiers and helped rebuild some of the City's buildings and helping the wounded But now, Now I'm just staring at the window thinking how ill win this Dust Has experience with this weapon Heck I have no idea How to fire it. Geno walked In Looking glum I guess the weather matched His Mood the sky was grey and rain drizzled down. "I'm sorry Geno it was for the best If I win this-" he held his hand up "Like I said to you before" he wiped away some Tears that where threatening to fall "I believe in you reaper I believe you will win" I hugged Him Resting my chin on the crook of his neck "Geno" I said pulling away "I love you so much and just In case If I don't win the duel This kingdom will need a new ruler" he looked at me Confused "So Geno, I want you to marry me" I would have liked to do this at a more pleasant time But Its just In case I love You too much to-" I was cut off by him kissing me when he pulled away he had more tears In his eyes and he nodded trying so hard to smile. I smiled back hugging him once again I whispered "i love you Geno" "i love you too reaper"  I turned and Got the paper that we both have to sign to say we are married I retrieved this earlier this morning singing My name I handed the paper to Geno as he signed it as well Smiling. "it is done" this was the true definition of a bitter sweet moment.

(Genos POV)

So much emotions where Running through my head Honestly I don't think my soul can take it happiness anger Fear sadness Heartbreak It was all to much Reapers talking like This will be his death But it cant be Reaper is smart he knows what he's doing everyone's been telling me I blocked out the talking of the others just focusing On the ground Reapers hand was laced with mine as I cuddled in to him he was talking about the duel I think then I heard the mention of my name "So if you die Geno will be the new ruler?' Reaper nodded dream practically did a spit take "WHAT?!" we all looked at him his eyes in the shape of stars "YOU GUSY GOT MARRIED WITH OUT ME WITNISING THIS ADORABLE MOMENT" he particley shrieked  Reaper only laughed "Sorry dream Don't worry if this gos well we will have a proper wedding "Damn right you will" Dream said Pretending to pout this made me give a slight chuckle.

The duel  was growing nearer and nearer Goth arrived back at the castle and he practically Clung to Reaper as well now knowing about the duel. But reaper had to go he said he wanted to do somethings before we left so we had to let go. Now goth clung to me seeking comfort "So you guys are Together together now?" he asked innocently? I nodded smiling sadly he smiled "That's really good to hear" I nodded.

(Reaper)

 The carriage ride was dull the other two kingdoms came out to see this as well no one spoke a word in the carriage I wore a white dress shirt with a black over coat Black Boots and black pants My crown was on my head and I had the kingdoms symbol On My shoulder. Trying to keep My self calm I took deep breaths I cant afford to be nervous I can do this. I told my self. The carriage Stopped I was the first to step out followed by Geno He too had the Kingdoms symbol on his shirt and we both wore Gold ribbon around our wrists to show marriage It was the North's tradition Gold for marriage, Black for mourning, Blue or pink for a child. I'm pretty sure some other kingdoms are like that too. Dust was already waiting with quite the crowd to spectate.

"Wow you showed Up" he said crossing His arms "Lets just get this over with" I growled I kept my head high and shoulders back to show no fear. "Oh Id like to congratulate you on your marriage" he sneered "I hope Your lover over there has a black band waiting though" I gave a dry laugh "Ashamed You don't have a lover to mark your death" I shot back he only glared Throwing me a gun "its all set he said" I looked at it the cold metal of it stung against my hand.  I stepped over to geno and Dust talked with some of his men "Good luck my love" geno whispered sadly I kissed him "ill be Back over hear soon " I reassured him "promise?" I hesitated but nodded he kissed me one last time before I had to go back.

 a man stepped in between us the duel with commence like this You shake hands turn your backs Count to 10 and then proceed to shoot if both of you misses we will do it again am I clear?" everyone stepped back excited whisper wehtn through the crowed I met gazes with the people I cared for and have known my whole life Locking eyes with geno he smiled.

"please shake hands" he spoke I stepped forward we both had our guns to our side I shook his hand he shook mine he showed no fear He grinned I kept a blank look we both turned our backs with every step we both took it counted as a second the crowed fell silent

Everything was muffled out as I counted Gripping the gun slightly finger Getting ready to pull the trigger

what a pity my life turned to be, At least I got to marry the person I love

I messed  Up I new I did the moment I fired the gun.

I dropped in the dirt seeing images flash before my eyes was this my life?

From seeing My mother and father All the way up to the events of now some images standing out more then others The day I met Geno Replayed though I watched both of us and the shocked happy expression when I gave him the money. The day in the green house I never laughed that Much in years. THUMP THUMP

I'm sorry Geno We where both right Our love was Never meant to be maybe in another time Geno. thump thump..

and everything stopped even my soul beat.
