Chapter 13

(Genos POV)

I starred at Reaper Wide eyes he turned to me Blood staining his cheek "Your hurt!" he hurriedly went over to me "can you walk?" he said with actual concern in his face and voice I tried Got up shakily But had to lean on Him with his scythe In hand we begun to hurry In a direction My back burned and each step we took was just pure agony.

 I looked ahead of us And saw soldiers dying Reaper Slashed at any monsters that came near us I looked at him he had such a look on his face I cant describe it but he almost Looked like he enjoyed hurting these monsters "Reaper-" reaper stopped and yelled at me "GET DOWN" we both dropped and he held me to his chest a explosion went off sending dirt flying over to us The screams and cries of innocent monsters rang in the air 'reaper You cant Kill innocent monsters!" I begged him he looked at me like I had gone mad, he turned to face me standing Up "We have to Kill Them There trying to kill us!" I shook My head tears Pricking In to my eyes I cant say anything to Him I know I'm being unreasonable but I cant let people die at the hands of him "The war will not stop if you keep Ordering People to kill these poor  monsters" He shook his head angrily "So what am I supposed to do let them take over? If I surrender now It will prove what every one already thinks!" he hissed  "So what, what every one thinks about you is true This war will never end Millions more monsters On both sides will die If you can do what You did with dream Everything will be okay" I grabbed his arm and looked at Him with pleading eyes he looked away.

 I heard a monster Running towards us Sword at the ready With one quick Motion Reaper ended his life "Reaper! what even is this damn war about anyways? Huh? land? Power?" he raised his voice at me "I don't know! okay?!" he gripped his scythe Eyes shut he looked at me now  His eye Now a angry Blue "This war has lasted For generations No one knows Now. WE fight because We have to its what we where told to do!" he yelled Killing another monster that Attacked Us I looked at Him Shaking My head as if he where a child who did something wrong "Well Reaper be the generation who ends this war! make a deal! this cant go on forever!" I yelled angrily. He looked down The hood covering his face "We have to go." his voice now cold and empty "reaper are You even listening?" "I said we have to go and that's a order last I checked I'm in charge and I jut damn saved You." he grabbed my wrist roughly and started pulling me causing me to stumble I cried out in pain the sudden motion causing More agony to my bleeding back but he wasn't stopping Another explosion sounded in the distance making the screams louder I scanned the area and noticed how young the monsters looked some of them didn't seem older then 15 I heard people talking about the war but I never thought it would be this bad I wretched my hand back as it slipped from reapers grasp He whirled around "Have you gone mad?!" "Your the one whos mad! I don't care If your the prince this war Has to end! do you even Know How many people where effected By this war?!" memories I tried so hard to loose Came flooding back Reaper tried to grab My hand again but I dodged It we where close to where undyne was fending off soldiers from the horse that must have brought them hear "Can You guys hurry?!!" she growled finishing off a monster who Looked like they where 14 reaper Locked eyes with me "This is how this world Works Geno Its kill or be killed This war will continue to happen weather You like it or not and Iam your future King and You will do as I say and I say for you to get on this horse with us and Leave." he said sternly I glared As anger and adrenalin coursed through my body and clouded My thoughts "I thought You would be different! My brother died For Your father, for this damn war You are just as bad as the enemy You are nothing like the person I thought You where, Your way worse then Your father was." I said Venom laced In my words.

I swear the way he Looked at I thought he was gonna behead me right there . courage Leaving me I backed away Shocked at what I said Before I could say anything He tackled me to the ground I cried out in fear I realized he didn't tackle me out of anger BANG i realized he tackled me to save me.

The darkens Overwhelmed me As the cry's of countless Monsters stopped and the Bombs and smell of gun powder ceased I realized that This is actually where We Might just Both die.
