Once upon a time, life for the unicorns of Magical Happy Rainbow Land was going on like a normal day. The sun was shining. The birds were singing. The emeralds were strutting around with their heads held high. The pearls were playing with the fouls. The rubies were gossiping about other unicorns love lives. None of them expected what was about to come.
There was a loud crack. Everyone looked up to see a dark shape high above. The shape came closer but hit the magical borders with another sickening crack. Then, a large ball that was dark purple wrapped itself around the shape and it flew toward the borders again and this time, slid through.
There was instant panic. Everyone ran around screaming. The shape came closer and they could see it was a black dragon with a man standing on it's back. The man laughed maliciously. A ball of dark purple fire formed on his hand. He jerked his hand up and, in a clearing, dark stone towers covered in dirt and moss started to rise. They rose more and a castle emerged beneath them. The unicorns ran into the forest to hide from these intruders.
The man took out a box and they flew to one of the rainbows in the sky. He opened the box and the rainbow was suddenly drained of it's color. The colorless rainbow shattered like glass. They flew to all the rainbow in the sky and did the same. Then, they flew to the meadow that held the lake. The man opened the box... and nothing happened. The waters were not drained of their color. Instead, an energy pulse pushed them away. The man yelled in fury. His hand burst into flames again and he jerked it up once more. The trees started to grow uncontrollably. They grew higher and higher and curved until the meadow was hidden from the sun. All around, the man's deep husky voice could be heard yelling "No sun means no rainbows!" Then they flew off towards the castle. As they flew, dark clouds formed behind them. The clouds started pouring down rain. But not any rain. Sadness rain. When it fell on you, you remembered all the sadness in life. The two turned from their castle. The unicorns heard the man's voice again. "Unicorns! Come to me!" The unicorns obeyed. The man looked hungrily at them all.
"You must be wondering who we are. I am Tantoon. This here is my brother, Sandomire. You may have noticed he is a dragon. He was cursed, you see. Since he had such a black heart, a wizard cursed him to be a dragon. If he found a girl that said she loved him, he would be able to change back. But, who needs love? Now, we heard about the land you had here and thought that it would be a nice place to settle down. We had to do a little redecorating. It's much better now. Right, Sandomire?"
The dragon nodded. Tantoon laughed and hopped on his back. Thew flew into the castle.
