My friend and I: we have a good time
Down by a river, that's filled with grime
Sat in a garden of plants and grass
We build daisy chains cut with shards of glassThe shards came from a greenhouse
Where tomatoes used to grow
Then one winter it shattered
He says it was the snowWe make many things out of daisies
him and me
A friend for the butterfly
A noose for the tree
We talk about problems with life and such
We talk about the people who make it too muchSometimes one of us brings an afore mentioned 'friend'
We tell them how their actions sting
We tell them they've lost the chance to amend
Glass shards are good for more than one thingWhen the persons name no longer holds dread
We make chains to tie their wrist and head
Doesn't matter if they're daisies because they're already dead
A garden filled with green and redMy friend and I: we have a good time
Down by a river: the scene of a crime
We sit and watch the sunset pass
And throw in bodies filled with glass
