I decide to wear my striped bikini so I head to the bathroom to change.

After we are all ready, we are about to leave before my mom asks the most mom-ish question.

"Where's the sunscreen?" she asks. I mentally face palm myself.

"It's in your bag," I say and we walk to the elevator. The pool is on the 6th floor so we press the buttons and run to the pool, grab towels, and the kids jump in.

I, instead, grab my book (allegiant) and walk to the hot tub to relax and read.

It's getting a little boring in here, so I tell my parents that I'm getting something to eat and head to the lobby.

"Umm excuse me?" I ask the lady at the desk. "Is there any snack place here?"

"Yes, we serve Starbucks." Oh my gosh. Starbucks. Sorry sorry. I'm sounding like a spoiled teen. "It's down that hallway and make a right at the end."

I walk until I get to the hallway then I jog, unable to keep my energy in. That is, until I crash into something hard and muscular.

"Oh my gosh I'm so sorry," I say then look into his eyes. He has dark blue eyes and dark brown hair. "I wasn't lookinq where I was going."

"It's totally fine, it's my fault, too. I was just spaced out," I'm so embarrassed.

"Don't be!" he says. Shoot! I thought out loud again.

"I have to stop thinking out loud," I say before giggling and looking at the ground.

"Well, are you going to Starbucks? Perhaps I can buy you something to lower your embarrassment," did he just do that. Oh my gosh. I'm so excited. But I gotta play it cool.

"Yeah and oh sure if u want, but you don't have to," I can't help but blush.

"It's no problem. I have nothing else to do here. My little sister is at the beach with my parents and I was going to go back to the room. But I can go with you now," I look back at him. His eyes are capturing me.

"Okay. Let's go," We walk into Starbucks and he asks me what I would like.

"Umm how about a chai tea latte?" I ask. He laughs. "What?"

"It's just that it's hot out and you're having a hot drink," he says. I think this over.

"I'm just weird, I guess," I say

"I like weird," he says, keeping eye contact with me. This isn't going to be a bad trip after all

I get my tea and he gets a refresher. We sit down at a table to drink our beverages.

"So do you live around here?" he asks me

"Yeah, I live 30 minutes away. Do you?"

"Yep. I live in Fort Lauderdale," oh my gosh. I live there.

"I live there too! It's weird how we haven't seen each other around.. So are you here for anything special?"

"That's so cool! Also, it's my dad's birthday so we are staying for the week. How long are you staying?"

"Only for a 2 days, 1 night, though. It's annoying because my sister brought all of her friends and I have a feeling they're going to stop me from getting any sleep." I say with a pout. He laughs.

"I'm sorry but that's the worst. How old is she?"

"11, and my parents are probably going to make me sleep on the couch," I say.

"Mine is 7. How old are you? I'm 16," 16, not bad. Only a year away.

"I'm 15. Also, I never got your name. I'm Jordan,"

"I'm Liam," Liam. "You should probably get back to your family. I would walk you but it'd be awkward if your family saw you with a stranger."

"Oh okay, well thank you, Liam. It's very nice to meet you."

"I'll see you around Jordan," I start walking away until he calls my name and runs to me. "I think it'd be best if we get each others numbers." Yes!

I smile and we exchange numbers.

"See you!" I say then walk back to the pool.
