It really wasn't nothing. I haven't been that active in my love life. I love the single life. I just don't want to be hurt.

But, he was different. I could feel it. Maybe it was false, but still, I just feel right around him.

I'm not going to get in over my head but wow. His eyes were beautiful and captivating.

"Jordan! Get dressed! We're going to dinner," my dad shouts from another room.

I groan, so he adds,"It's your favorite! Sushi!" Once he says that, I immediately take a shower and put on a sundress that I also brought. It's white with lace detail on the back.

At the sushi place, we order our food and I tell my parents about a comedian-singer that I love. His name is Bo Burnham. My dad decides that since I already am exposed to explicits, that he would tell a joke.

"Wanna hear a joke?" I nod. "So Minnie Mouse came home to Mickey Mouse and said,' I want a divorce.' Mickey said,' are you fucking crazy?' Minnie says,' no, I'm fucking goofy," he finishes and all of Chayse's friends are staring.

"Oh, dad." I say, face-palming.

We eat our sushi, which was very good, and walk back to the room. I'm in the mood for something sweet, so I walk to Starbucks to buy a cinnamon bun or something.

I get in line and purchase a chocolate cake pop. I then turn around to walk back when I bump into Liam.

"We need to stop bumping into each other," I say with a slight laugh.

"Yeah," he says and laughs. "I bet you're busy, so you can get back if you want," he says awkwardly shifting his hands in his pocket.

"No, it's fine. I can stay till whenever. My parents have to put up with my sister."

"Oh okay. So, what'd you do tonight?" he asks while claiming us a table.

"My family and I had some sushi- my favorite food."

"Yum. That sounds good right now. I'm a pizza guy, I guess," I look into his eyes and we stay like that for a while, both not wanting to look away.

My phone rings and I groan. "My mom," I say and answer.

J- hi mom

M-where are you?

J-Starbucks... why?

M-I thought you'd be coming back.

J-I'm eating here. Is that okay?

M-uh sure! Have fun honey!

I hang up.

"Moms are so Mom-y," I say and push a loose hair behind my ear.

"Yeah she sounded worried about you," he says, concerned. He looks down at his phone, then frowns. "I gotta go, my Mom's being Mom-y, too,"

I laugh and you won't guess what happens next. He hugs me. He hugs me. We stay in each other's arms for a bit, savoring each other's warmth. I could stay like that forever, but he needs to leave.

"Goodbye, Jordan. I'll see you tomorrow, right?" he asks.

"I hope," I say and blush. "Bye."
