do not

If the darkness consumes me,
Please do not fear,
For the madness you see,
Is not all that's here.

If the monsters eat my flesh,
And the demons take my soul,
And the horns grow out of my head,
Make sure I don't lose control.

If the windows start cracking,
And the doors start to creak,
And the floors start to rot,
For the light will still brightly streak.

If the mice stop their stir,
And the cats stop their chase,
And the dogs stop their bark,
Please, let them all fall with grace.

If the minutes start to shrink,
And the clocks stop chiming down,
And the tower starts to fall,
Please, do not lose your crown.

If the knights start their march,
And the horses stop their stride,
And the flags start going up,
Please, try not to die.

If the music stop playing,
And the record starts to break,
And the music box starts to crank,
Don't be afraid to say a thank.

If I start to fall,
And my knees start to buckle,
And my body starts to go limp,
Please, do not shuffle.

If the moon starts to rise,
And the sun starts to fall,
And not all creatures have died,
Do not tear down that wall.

If there's a shine in your eye,
And the tears finally dry,
If the glaze starts to shine,
Every thing will be alright.
