With her final breath,
she whispers, "I love you."
As she dies in my arms,
tears stream down my face,
saturating her dress below.
I hold her lifeless body for hours
and hours.
I continue to weep even after
the sun has faded away.
Soon the moon climbs the sky.
It bathes us in its light
one last time.
