Chapter Three
~ Where the Dice Rolls ~
(Continuation from the prologue)
Harry's Point Of View
"I'm sorry." I say quietly
"I know." she says calmly.
"I've put you through that. And I'm sorry, mum. I promise it won't happen again." I say and I truly mean.I know that must have been hell for her to have to deal with at such a late hour, left to think the worst when I brought a girl in here unconscious.
"I know. You've almost scared me half to death, Harry. I'm almost afraid to ask, but what were you even doing?" my mum looks up from her book, glasses hung lowly by the bridge of her nose.
"I was only going get a little scare out of her, for laughs. I honestly didn't expect her to pass out. How does that even happen? Why was she in that alley anyway?" I question with honest curiosity.
"I haven't the slightest clue, dear but you'll surely find out while you take care of the poor girl until she's fully recovered. And she stays until she's well and I'll have Liam make sure you tend to her every need." She emphasizes the 'you'.
"I promise." I say simply, that seeming like the right thing to be done. "I'm sorry." I apologize.
"Well don't tell me that." she takes her glasses off, sets her book down and puts the glasses atop and exits the room with a grin. Is this her way of telling me to apologize.
"Alright, we'll I'm off to bed I've got a flight to Berlin for work in the morning so I won't be here when you wake so, goodnight, darling. try to get some sleep, okay?" she stands walking over to me and kissing my forehead.
"And I'm sure I'll hear that it was a very heart felt apology." she says while walking out of the study with a smile.
Yup it was. It's not like I wasn't planning to.
I make my way to my room and plop down on my insanely comfortable mattress and slowly drift into a dreamless oblivion.
Morning
___________________________
I barely got any sleep just thinking about the sleeping girl in the guest room and how am I to apologize or even look her in the eye tomorrow. What if she's scared of me. How would she react. All those thoughts and more crept the halls of my thoughts and kept me awake a majority of the night.
I'm awaken by the metal pang of the of utensils and pans being tossed into the sink which can only mean someone most likely being Liam and Niall, made breakfast.
Liam makes the best waffles. And Niall makes the best Sausage. Well that's if they're not gone before I can get down the stairs.
"There better be some waffles left. Why do you guys insist on eating before I wake up-" I start a rant while coming down the steps saying more to myself than to them when I hear a girl's and Niall's rambunctious laughter coming from none other than the kitchen where I turn the corner to all the boys seated at the large round breakfast table and that's when I spot her.
In my chair. And remember the events that happened place last night.
Shit.
Brooke's Point Of View
I sit at their overly decorated with food, table with a huge plate of breakfast foods that was in front of me and three different spoons Knifes and forks. "Liam insisted we be good hosts and use all the silverware." He smiles rolling his eyes jokingly. He must have seen me staring at them.
