Keeping the negative out of your life is easy, you just have to say don't, right?
But words are unstable, they are so light they float in the air around without a proper direction. How to keep words still? How to properly put them in action?
Don't
I remember what you said
Years ago when we still date
'I will follow you wherever,
Spend our lifetime together.'
Do you still say the same
Now that I'm behind your back?
Do not hang on to the past
I won't make the same mistakes
I know better that's for sure
Hurt myself is not a choice
Do not come after all these years
And leave that rose out of my door!
I may get you surprised
Roses are not my faves one
I had to leave you behind.
Do not invade my space
My life looks better this way.
You might think that I'm joking
How did I ever stop loving?
I did thanks to your nice goodbye
It never looked like that to start by
So do not ask for a second chance
Got nothing to offer me these days
I might ask a question or two
Why did you leave without a clue?
Do not tell me what you felt
I'm not interested in the past
I just care what happens next
And I know for sure this time
You won't be in my daylight
Don't appear when stars come out
You do not deserve their light
And I keep myself busy at nights.
You're a stranger right now
Access will be always denied,
Do not look me with those eyes
My heart can't melt at your sight
Don't ask me what I felt
The years have erased that sense.
Please get up and leave this place
You're disturbing my fate
If you can't live without my smile
Well picture it in your sleep at night
Should've thought about it earlier
Before destroying me further.
Now I'm fine and restored
Don't need your perfect love
Keep it for another one
Who will remind you of my smile.
