I saw the truth last night
Behind your sparkling eyes
When you looked at me
Like I was your only lightI saw the sky turned bright
You disappeared the clouds
Brought clarity to my heart
And I want you by my sideI saw your curious face
Behind that window pane
That has already become
A burden I have to passI saw your eyes tonight
They're greener than the grass
And brighter than the sun
More hopeful than this lifeI saw the way you smiled
When you slowly passed by
And filled the air around
With the scent I love so muchI saw my purpose in life
That day we never said 'hi'
But our souls opened up
Me and you became one
