THE END

It was a dark and stormy night for two writers across town. One with short blonde hair, the other with long purple hair. Both were hurt, but neither cared about the other's feelings. It was too far gone for that.

Fallon sat at her computer for hours and hours composing the right thing to say. She came up with a lengthy letter and, knowing it was the right thing to do, she sent it.

That letter traveled far across the interweb to reach Macey. Her former best friend.

Macey read that letter, but Fallon would never know OR CARE about what she replied. The purple haired girl deleted it upon it's arrival.

Fallon did know that somehow Macey had concocted a story in her mind, convincing her that it was somehow Fallon's fault that they hadn't talked in a year. Fallon knew that this was false. No emotional bias, she knew, only the facts.

Either way, both Fallon and Macey blocked each other on everything, except the online school they both attended because neither of them could avoid being in the same class together.

Fallon knew that by Monday, Macey would have gone back to normal. Using people and throwing them away when she was bored. Pretending she was happy when she really was not.

Macey perhaps thought the same of Fallon... Or maybe she convinced herself that that's what her former best friend would do. Silly girl, she should have known better.

As Fallon sat at her laptop, writing down her feelings, no tears came to her eyes. This was not a bitter-sweet farewell. This was the end of a fucking war and both parties were tired and pissed. Fallon could care less if Macey was crying herself to sleep.

She should have known better.

Thus was the end of Macey and Fallon's iconic friendship. Five years wasted. Now Macey surrounds herself with people to keep her occupied and Fallon stays with Carter. Alone, but happy.

Who needs friends anyway?
