"You're sitting in my seat."
I looked up to see Riley glaring down at me. When she started riding her bike to school I had taken her seat on the bus. She shouldn't have had a three seater anyways.
I smirked and scooted over, patting the space next to me for her to sit. She rolled her eyes and reluctantly sat beside me.
"So-"
"I'm really not in a conversation mood, sorry Friar."
So Riley Matthews does know my name. "So you'd rather we just sit here in silence?"
"Well," she turns to me, "I'd rather be sitting alone. However, it's obvious while I was absent someone got attached to this seat."
I folded my arms and shrugged nonchalantly, "Wonder who?" She glared at me as the bus screeched to a halt. "So much for no conversation huh, Matthews?" I grinned at her as I stood up and motioned to get off the bus. She lightly shook her head, a small smile tugging at the corner of her lips.
The notion was short lived, as her face fell as she stepped off the bus, remembering where we were. "Bye, Lucas,"she says, giving a small wave as she begins to walk away. I watch as she disappears into a sea of people and for some reason it felt like I would never see her again. I remember thinking maybe that was a good thing because whenever I'm around her my heart starts beating entirely too fast.
I was wrong.
