"It seems like they still haven't gotten along" Rory murmured to himself taking a sip of the coffee Zoe made a few minutes ago. They've been talking about the whole affair that took place at 'savage' Monday night but Zoe wasn't sure how she could've approached the topic. Jethro and Zoe's relationship wasn't normal, one reason being that she first heard about Jethro when Dacia made her swear never to speak of it to anyone.

She was just fifteen and him twenty nine when she first met him but like Zoe and Rory it took years for either parties to admit their feelings to each other. The whole taboo subject was shed to light when Emerald's mother discovered it and before anyone could have said wait she had already filed for divorce to emerald's sick father and stolen half his money leaving him with a fifteen year old emerald who chose Zoe as the worthy victim of her terrors.

Early this morning Jethro cane over to speak to Dacia but she refused and in a frantic haze she stormed over to her house got dressed and left an angry Jethro on Zoe's doorstep seeking a valid explanation. And let's just say that his reaction wasn't one that should be shared.

"I don't think they ever will" It was her break time and she chose to take Rory up on his coffee offer.

"They are the same age and with all the drama that happened between everyone I see why emerald resents Dacia" Zoe could only nod, she knew what happened with them however even after Jethro had sorted out all the issues emerald's was still a longstanding war waiting to be unleashed but her reaction was beyond anyone's guess.

"She just cried and ran" Rory's brow furrowed at the newfound information.

"That is unlike her" she went to reply but her pager went off alerting them that her lunch break was already up.

Rory stood up escorting Zoe to her car telling her he'd speak to her later before planting a sweet kiss on her forehead, sending her on her way. She drove through the streets seeing a
crowd gathered in front of the town newspaper.

Her mother taught her better than to go idling in something that very well didn't concern her, she could have gotten hurt not knowing where she was willingly placing herself. The ringing of her phone brought her back. Pressing accept she placed it on speaker.

"Zoe have you seen the newspaper?" She could hear Dacia crying over the phone.

"No what happened?" Maybe she was going to know what the crowd was there for after all.

"Someone published an article on me and Jethro from years ago claiming that he raped me and his poor defenseless wife left because she couldn't take it anymore but he threatened to kill her so she left emerald with his dying brother! Zoe none of that is true!" She felt herself instantly press the breaks in surprise jerking quickly when she felt the bumper of her car being clipped by a startled driver.

The car didn't stop though it kept moving and she wondered for a second whether it was a drive and hit or if it was her fault but she couldn't think about that right now, for some reason her minor almost death didn't compare to the drama some one implicated about her friend.

"Oh my god. The town knows the truth regardless so who would post this?" She inquired starting back the engine making a quick turn to go back to the town paper.

"I have a wild guess. Zoe I am so over this little bitch! She's caused more trouble thanks she's worth. I have an anchoring to tell her the real reason her mother left but Jethro would never forgive me" she heard a crash in the background followed by a frustrated scream.
