I didn't know how but I somehow managed to escape this guy after a while.
Maybe he got boring of chasing me after a while.
I saw Leslie in the crowd and she looked like a beautiful dark angel which came on earth to seduce all male human beings.
And there it was again, my fantasy taking over my life.
She danced so beautiful that I felt like a little kid trying to figure out the rhythm. I approached her and she smiled really bright as she saw me.
"Alice honey. Where have you been?" She asked with real interest in her voice. I smelled the alcohol in her breath. She could handle her liquor better than I.
"I lost you" I answered.
She laughed loud and melodic. "And now your found me" she shouted grabbed my wrists and pulled me to the music's tact.
I let my self being forced to dance.
"This is James" Leslie introduced me to the guy next to her. Dancing as beautiful as she did. I felt like a sack which had no body tension which is fatal when you want to dance.
"He is the chef of James Paul's confectionary" Leslie informed me. My eyes grew as big as two circles. He? He was the owner of James Paul's confectionary?? Awesome.
I've always dreamt of working there or even eat one of their pastries. It was like a high class confectionary where you could buy super fancy bakeries and they have new stuff every week. But the products there were insanely expensive but worth it I guess.
"Really?" I shouted in pure excitement. "I love that place"
A small smile formed his lips. I always thought the inventor and boss was a middle aged guy with grey hair and a boring vision who had nothing to do with the products itself. Weird view I know.
"Yes? Have you been there?" He asked me know interested. He probably just wanted to hear how amazing he was.
I opened my mouth to respond something but Leslie appeared to be faster than me.
"No but she dreams of working there. It's just that it is perfect. She has a secret passion for pastries. But she would never admit it" she simply told him.
"Leslie" I hissed embarrassed.
"What" she asked smiling innocent. "Don't say it's not true. I've seen you placing pastries and watching them for minutes with a satisfied face"
God. I was blushing again. Twice was two times too often for one day.
"Aww how cute. But sadly I have enough employees at the moment" he smiled and I didn't know whether he meant it or he just pretended to be sorry.
I changed my attention to Leslie and she incited me to dance. Her fire was contagious and so I let myself being dragged away by the beat. With all the alcohol in my veins I actually enjoyed the dance floor.
"See" Leslie laughed as she saw my Joy. "Parties like these can be fun"
I've always avoided anything with alcohol, loud music and people like crazy. I didn't even liked going to the theatre or the cinema ignoring the fact that I was way too poor to go there more than twice a year. But people had this weird habit of bumping into me without really apologizing.
It does was a curse to not being notice since being noticed often seemed worse than being invisible to them.
All I ever got from people was hate, pity and laughter. Many looked down on me since I seemed so embarrassing. And with time passing by I began to believe all that.
