You have been dating Grayson Dolan for about 2 years and are madly in love with him. You are 16 and he's 17. You had braces from 6th to 8th grade and your teeth look beautiful and you get lots of compliments on them, which makes Grayson jealous because he hasn't had braces yet.
"Babe, do they hurt?" Grayson asked you in a scared voice.
"Only for the first few days but they will be fine."
Grayson was getting his braces on today and you were happy for him because he really wanted nice teeth like you.
"Hey Gray, do you want me to go with you to the orthodontist today?" You asked
"Of course!" He said
~a while later~
"Grayson Dolan" Grayson said to the lady at the front desk of the orthodontists office.
"Okay! We will call you back when we're ready!" Said the lady at the front desk.
"Let's go sit down Gray" you say to him to make him less nervous
"Grayson?" A voice called from the corner.
"Bye babe, love you!" Grayson said walking off following the lady.
~two hours later~
"Grayson!" You said walking over to him.
Grayson just kind of ignored you and you two walked out of the orthodontist together. While out in the parking lot you said
"Are you not going to talk to me?"
"I just hate the way I look with these and don't want it to change the way you or my fans look at me." He said looking down so that I still couldn't see his teeth.
"Grayson I still love you no matter what and just because you have braces doesn't mean a thing! You will get them off in a year or two and nothing will change! You will still be the same amazing Grayson that your friends, fans, and I love! Trust me, people will be happy for you because you will have great teeth when it's all over!" You told him trying to cheer him up.
"Thanks Y/N. That means a lot to me!" He said finally smiling at you.
"Awh Gray you look adorable with those on!!" You said.
"Whatever, your just saying that to make me feel better." He said laughing at you.
"No Grayson I'm not. I'm not in the mood for your bad attitude either, I want you to be your happy Grayson self." You told him smiling at him.
"By the way, Ethan is getting his braces on later today too, I don't know if I told you that." He said.
"No you didn't. That's good for him! You too are both so adorable and the braces just make it even better Grayson!" You said to him as you got into the car.
The two of you drove home and while at home you made him a smoothie to make him feel better. Grayson still thinks he looks terrible and that people won't like him anymore even though no one even cares. Ever since you got home, he's done nothing but watch netflix and go to the bathroom every 10 minutes to look in the mirror.
"Grayson you look fine! Stop going into the bathroom to look at them because nothing has changed since you last saw them!" You told him.
"I'm sorry y/n, I just don't know what people are going to think." He said to you looking up at you.
Right after he said that, Ethan walked in and yelled,
"Your boy got some braces!!!"
You and Grayson both started laughing at him.
"Oh shoot sorry I didn't know y/n was here." He said laughing.
"It's ok Ethan, let me see!" You said walking over to him.
He smiled at you and you said,
"At least Ethan will smile at me." You said looking over at Grayson.
"Why won't Grayson smile at you?" Ethan asked.
"Because he thinks that he looks terrible with his braces on and that people are go-" Ethan interrupted you saying
"Wait wait, Grayson you got braces too?!?" He asked walking over to Grayson.
"Grayson you didn't tell him?" You said laughing.
"No I didn't want to tell him because I thought he would laugh and ask if I was going through puberty." Grayson said.
"No Gray I wouldn't do that. And I have braces as well so it wouldn't even make a difference." Ethan said trying to cheer him up.
"I still can't believe you didn't tell your twin brother about your braces." You said to Grayson
Grayson and Ethan both ate ice cream with you while watching Netflix. You kept looking at Grayson during the funny parts so that you could see his braces because he wasn't willing to just show you at any time. Ethan didn't have a problem showing anyone his braces. Ethan and Grayson were so different and you never realized it until now.
