Johnny's POV:
-
For the past few days I haven't felt myself. I've been moping around and just ignoring everyone. Darian especially has been trying hard to have me talk to her about my problems. I'm thankful for her caring but right now I just don't want to talk to anyone but one girl.

I always find myself staring at my phone screen waiting for the special call or text but am always left disappointed. A knock was sounded on the door I look up sighing. The person walks in anyway without my answer.

"Dress yourself up doofus, we are going to see Kenzie." As Lauren finishes her sentence my eyes widen. "I'd rather not" I whisper as Lauren groans. "Then what do you want? The whole reason you've been ignoring your family is because you want Kenzie. Here's your chance now hurry up."

Lauren walks off not giving me a chance to respond. I shakily get off of bed throwing on a leather jacket. I put on shoes and slowly travel downstairs. "Time is ticking Johnny." Darian says as she heads in the car with Lauren. I start getting frustrated.

They shouldn't be the ones annoyed, they are the ones about to cost me the lost of this one day friendship. I start laughing to myself at that part but reality hits as I start frowning again. "Can you guys just give me an extra day to just rest?" This time the whole family is groaning. Am I really that of a downer.

"Johnny it's been a week, we are worried about you." Meredith, my mom, speaks up. "But don't force this on me. Who knows it can easily end up making me more sad than I am now." I point out as Maddie nods. "He's right, but it's too late you're going wether you like it or not."

Maddie marched up the step I was on and dragged me all the way to the car and started to buckle me up. "Hey hey I'm seventeen not a baby." I say rolling my eyes as I buckle myself in. Darian finally starts the car to Mackenzie's house as my heart just plummets to my stomach.

Before I know it I'm in front of Mackenzie's door. I slowly raise my hand to start knocking but Darian beats me to it practically pounding the door. Someone's impatient. "Maddie! Could you get the door?!" I hear Mackenzie's voice which makes me start to breath heavily.

We hear footsteps get closer and closer to the doorstep. I panic as I see the door knob start to turn. I turn on my heel making a run for it but Lauren stops me. "Johnny we are right here. Nothing is going to happen." Lauren talks in a soothing voice which just gets me angrier.

"But I'm not ready! It's like dragging a new born to school expecting them to actually learn something. What can't you guys understand?" Lauren bites her lip looking back at Darian who looks at a shocked Maddie at the door. Maddie then begins to smile.

"Mackenzie was acting just like this just last week." I give her a weird look. "And that's good because?" Maddie just stands there smirking like an idiot. "It's just the resemblance that's making me smile. Just forget about it. Please come in, you're already here so why not."

Surprisingly that's all that gets me into the house. I just wanted to get it over with at this point. As I enter the house tons of memories came rushing back just by being in the living room. But all I know of is all of the hatred between Mackenzie and I. I sigh taking a seat on the couch.

Everyone else takes a seat not really knowing what to do. It seems like everyone looked at the stairwell at the sound of footsteps traveling down them. Why is there so much tension over this. Kenzie reaches the bottom step and turns to everyone. At first smiling but immediately frowning upon looking at me.

Maddie walks over to Kenzie all dramatically as they began to whisper to each other. As few awkward minutes went by Maddie grabbed Mackenzie's and I's hand taking us to an enclosed room. "You guys can't avoid each other forever. Just please talk it out and Johnny we're right outside don't panic." Maddie says before exiting which makes my cheeks go red.

I really didn't need Kenzie knowing I was afraid to step into her house. I slowly look up facing Kenzie who is turned facing the wall. I sigh already losing hope but, here goes nothing.
