Grayson
"Calm down." My soon to be beta told me as I paced around my living room.
"Calm down? You just told me that my sisters soon to be mother in law is conspiring with the White Tail Pack. Do you know what that means? It means the human race is in danger and my sister is in the middle of it. She doesn't even know her powers yet!"
"If she has any. Your mother didn't and she's a white wolf. All white wolves are supposed to except she somehow missed it." Helen lounged on my couch, calm as can be.
"I have powers Helen! That means Scarlett has to have some too!" She shrugged gently.
"She'll be fine. Have faith." I growled at her, throwing a pillow next to her.
"She doesn't know how to fight." Helen looked like she didn't care which made my blood boil. "Get out." She looked at me surprised.
"I said, get out!" My voice boomed and she finally obeyed. I was left alone with my thoughts. If my sister gets hurt, I'm killing every bloody vampire near her.
I punched my wall growling. I knew letting her go there was a bad idea. I breathed heavily as I closed my eyes focusing on her scent. Soon I saw what she saw.
"Again!" Dante's authoritative voice echoed out. I watched through Scarlett's eyes as her fist connected with the punching bag. He's teaching her how to fight?
"Angle your hips like this." I growled softly as I watched him set his hands on her waist. Scarlett brushed it off and started to punch once again.
I sighed. Although this was invading her privacy, I felt calmer knowing I could somewhat watch over her. My thoughts were intercepted as my father stormed into my house.
"Why is Helen crying to your mother?" I scoffed. I grabbed my water bottle shrugging.
"Why do you care? She's not my mate, and she's annoying." He groaned.
"She's going to be your Beta Grayson." I let out a small chuckle.
"No dad, she's not." Before he had the chance to yell at me, a scream was heard from the middle of our land. We took off running and we watched as a human girl stood terrified in the middle of a circle of my fighters. I winced as I tugged off my burning necklace. She did the same and our eyes locked.
"Mine." That was it. My body was drawn to hers. She was scared of me,I could tell, but she was mine now. Give her some space. I ordered out and they did as I said. I walked towards her frozen figure.
"What's your name, how old are you?" She gulped and tried forming her words. I watched amused.
"G..Gracie Hilton.. I'm twenty. Please don't hurt me." She begged. I smirked and watched as her small body trembled.
"Why would I hurt you? You belong to me." Her eyes widened and I grabbed her hand dragging her with me as she resisted. This was going to be interesting.
Scarlett
I had a feeling someone was watching me but I brushed it off as I punched the bag in front of me. Dante yelled at my form which made me irritated. In result of my irritation, the punching bag was broken, laying on the floor. He softly rested his hand on my shoulder and I blushed.
"Let's eat?" I nodded as a reply and he held my hand as we walked, glaring at all the vampires looking at me. I shivered as his mom stared me down when we got into the private dining room for him and I. Apparently, his mother thought it was okay to not use manners at the dinner table.
We slowly ate in silence. They ate raw steak, bloody as can be whilst I ate my cooked steak, no blood in sight. I tried to focus on my plate, wanting to throw up at the blood next to me. Just the smell makes it hard to breathe.
I felt Dantes mom's eyes on my the whole time, judging me. I gulped when he gripped my thigh and looked over at me. I avoided his gaze and I moved his hand away from my leg as I ate.
"She doesn't even like your touch son, she isn't right for you." His mother stated simply, like she could read my mind.
"Mother stop invading her head, and we just saw each other for the first time since she was little so it's natural she doesn't trust me or like me like that yet." Dante stated calmy. "I was testing the waters." His mother huffed and aruptly stood up, marching out of the room.
"Don't mind her, love. She's a crazy old bat." I let out a small giggle which prompted his own smile. "Let's get you into some new clothes, hm?"
"Hey Dante?" I said after a second of walking to our room.
"Yeah?" He looked down at me.
"When do you think I can visit home..?" He seemed to stiffen up at my question. He stayed quiet for awhile. "I am allowed to go home, right?"
He stopped and looked at me.
"Not without me, and just to be clear, I'm never setting a foot into your brothers land." He glared down at me.
"No you listen here." We both seemed taken back at my bravery. "I will go home, when I want to." He backed me into a wall, his brown eyes turning red.
"I am your King now, Scarlett." He growled out.
"And I am your mate, soon to be queen. You will respect me and in turn you will get respect." I glared up at him.
"You are not leaving!" His face was centimeters to mine, his fangs emerging. I swallowed, trying not to imagine where this will go.
"Make me stay, Dante. I dare you to." His hands gripped my shoulders, his fangs on full display. He was angry, I could see that. Then, all of a suden, it switched. His eyes widened and backs away from me.
"I'm sorry.."
