Scarlett
I gulped, my heart was racing. He ran a hand through his brown hair, his chocolate eyes sadly looking down at me.
"I'm going to stay in my brothers room." He said simply, grabbing a change of clothes and walking out. He closed the door behind him and my body slid down to the floor.
I could feel my heart racing out of my chest. He wouldn't hurt me. I kept telling myself over and over again, trying to slow my heart rate down. Grabbing my clothes I took a shower, washing my body and hair, trying to clear my mind. I dried off quickly, changing into spanks, leggings, and a tank top, my sports bra slightly visable.
I jumped out or window, safely landing on my feet. I needed a run. A long run if that. I made sure my shoes were tied tightly, then I heard his voice.
"Scarlett!" I looked up to see Dante looking at me from the window.
"I'll be back." I took off running towards the forest. It was comforting, I didn't smell any vampires and the nature reminded me of home. This is where my home was.
I stopped by a tree, sitting down underneath it's branches on the cool, moss covered ground. I started to recollect my thoughts, my breathing and heart rate returning to normal. The moss I sat on turned a vibrant green.
I watched as squirrels danced in front of me, their bushy tails waving in the air. I missed this. At home all I ever did was go outisde. While watching the squirrels play with each other, my eyes landed on a dead flower. For some reason, I felt as if I was supposed to go to it. So I did. The squirrels continued to play and let me pet them which brought a smile to my face.
My fingers softly grazed the petals and the flower bloomed to life. I watched in amazement. When I touched the soil, purple and red hibiscus flowers grew out of the earth, surrounding the place I was sitting. As I stood, i touched the trees around me, the bark turning a healthy brown and the dying leaves green once again.
Floweres bloomed at my feet and I watched as the animals surrounded me, sharing the same amusement and delight I was feeling.
"Scarlett?" I arubtly stood up, facing Dante. "What are you...?" He eyed me and I looked down. For some odd reason, my heart spead up. I had to tell myself to calm down before I got too nervous to speak.
"My mother is a white wolf. It's only natural I have these powers." My eyes met his and his face changed from a sense of confusion to guilt. It was the fact he almost hurt me. He almost changed me. But he didnt.
"I'm really sorry about earlier... I never meant to lose my patience.." I sigh and softly grab his hand.
"I shouldn't have yelled at you. I'm guilty too." And it was true. I somewhat instigated the argument, and by pressing it made it worse. My voice was soft as his eyes met mine. He hugged me close and I felt his lips kiss my forehead. We stood there, taking in each others scent.
"Let's go home?" His voice was calm and soft. I never realized how much one could miss another until this very moment with me in his arms. I nodded softly and we took each others hands, walking back, however, I couldn't help feeling watched. Shaking my head I erased that image out of my mind, focusing on my breathing around Dante.
When we reached Dante's home, his mother was angrily waiting. She was a small woman, about 4'9", and with her tapping her foot with her arms crossed, I couldnt help but almost laugh.
"Where were you!?" She glared at me as she addressed her son, internally blaming me for everything that has ever went wrong in their lives.
"Hanging out in the woods. I figured Scarlett would like the scenery." She scoffed and stomped away. When she was out of ear shot I let out a small laugh I was keeping in. Dante in turn laughed with me.
"Your mom is... she's something else." He simply nodded and we laughed a little more. It was true. I couldn't take her seriously when she acts really mad.
"She'll warm up to you, I know it." I sigh and look at Dante smiling. Him saying that brought comfort into my soul.
"I hope so." The night went by quickly yet a part of me had a feeling I was being watched. However, it didnt scare me like I thought it would, it felt as if Nellie was watching over me, and I really hope she was.
I watched Dante as he laid in my arms once again. His face was soft, but troubled. And as he tossed and turned, I not only wished I could make it go away, but know what made him so upset.
Grayson
The young girl looked at me in horror as we sat in my office. I knew she wanted to be anywhere but here, but now that she was here, she didn't have a choice; she was never going to leave.
"You're mine." My voice was authoritative which upset the girl. "And calm down, I'm not going to kill you." I rolled my eyes in annoyance. I stood up and sat in front of her on my desk.
"Now, Gracie this is how it goes. We're mates. You see this necklace?" I tapped my own. "Its joined with yours. My name is Grayson, we will soon be married and since I am soon to be the Alpha of this pack, you will be my Luna. Understood?" A flash of defiance crossed her eyes.
"My fiance will kill you." She seethed and I smirked, grabbing her chin, making her look at me roughly.
"You poor girl..." I chuckled darkly. "He's already dead."
