"Do you mind if I ask?" Barry asked looking down at the photos in Y/N's lap. Y/N simply shook her head, slowly handing the photos over to Barry.
"Is this you as a kid?" Barry asked smiling down at one of the photos and then showing it to her. Y/N nodded, a small smile on her face as she did so, "You were cute then," Barry said.
Y/N furrowed her brows, "What do you mean 'cute then'?" she questioned. "Am I not cute now?"
"No," Barry said shaking his head, "You are beautiful now," he added kissing her on the cheek.
"You're too good to me Barry Allen," Y/N said leaning her forehead against his. Barry returned the smile, taking his time to admire her features, Y/N doing the same to him.
"So, have you had any time to look at this file?" Barry asked looking down at the file that lay in Y/N's lap, the papers sprawled out.
"Yeah," Y/N nodded. "It's all the research we had to make the speed drug that my dad gave Thawne, it's a way to track it to find him," Y/N explained as she fiddled through the papers.
Barry took quick glances at the papers as she filed through them, catching glimpses and ideas of what they were about. "He didn't give Thawne that drug," Barry corrected.
Y/N looked up with a confused daze.
"He explained to me that Thawne threatened to hurt you and your family if he didn't hand it over," Barry explained. "Y/N, your father is the man you thought he was, a good man, a hero."
"You talked to him?" she asked tilting her head.
Barry nodded, "He was a good man, and he raised an even better daughter. He wanted you to know how much he cared about you, and how much he loved you," Barry replied.
Y/N sat there for a moment, just gently twisting Barry's ring around his finger, more specifically her father's wedding band. She was remembering all the times she and her father had spent in that lab, or at home, just anywhere. All the times she took for granted, never realizing just how limited their time together would be. Now all she could feel was the regret, the regret and remorse of knowing that she would never get even just one more minute with him, or anyone that she had lost in her life, she knew that she would never get to just have a mere minute with anyone she had lost...and that thought broke her. Y/N hated this feeling, she pushed it aside and tried to focus on the time that she had left with Barry, the time that she didn't want to waste in a lab.
"Y/N?" Barry asked softly, squeezing her hand ever so slightly. He noticed that she had been spacing off while twisting his ring around his finger.
"Hmm?" She hummed, looking up and being pulled away from her thoughts, her attention being brought back to Barry.
"Do you want to go home?" Barry asked; he knew how much she hated being stuck in the lab, in a bed no less.
Y/N gave him a simple nod, Barry quickly sped out and grabbed his sweatshirt and a pair of her jeans before returning to her side. "Your favorite," he said handing her his S.T.A.R. Labs sweatshirt.
"You know me so well," she chuckled, gladly taking the sweatshirt and standing up to change. Y/N could feel Barry's eyes on her as she got ready, she turned to see him still see him sitting on the bed. "Did anyone ever tell you that staring isn't very nice?" Y/N asked him, a smirk on her face.
Barry laughed, "They must have never seen someone as beautiful as you," he said back, flashing her his trademark smile.
Y/N could shake her head, laughing slightly. "You're too good to me, Barry Allen," she told him as she turned and made her way towards him. He stood up as she approached him and wrapped his arms tightly around her, not wanting to let go as she wrapped hers around him.
Barry stood there for a moment, gently swaying with Y/N in his arms, his head resting against hers. "You ready to go home?" Barry asked. She nodded, tucking her head into his chest.
--Three Days Later--
Barry stood in front on Y/N as she slept, a soft snore could be heard. He looked out the window at the city as the day went on, then he turned his focus to Y/N, her soft, delicate features glistened in the sunlight. "Y/N?" Barry asked.
"Hmm?" she mumbled as she rolled over in their bed.
Barry let out a chuckle as he sat next to her, "It's 11:00, I told Cisco we'd be at the lab at 9:00," Barry said putting a hand on her leg.
"So?" Y/N said still refusing to open her eyes.
"So, let's go," Barry said gently grabbing her hand and pulling her up into a sitting position.
Y/N's eyes squinted at the bright light that shined through the windows, "I'm tired," she groaned.
"Here," Barry said handing her a cup of coffee, "Consider it a kickstart for this morning," he joked.
"Thank you," she said graciously taking the cup from his hands and taking a large sip of it. "So why are we going to the lab so early today?" Y/N asked getting out of bed and heading towards the closet.
"Cisco said he had something important for us to come see," Barry said as Y/N walked out of the closet, dressed and ready to go, the coffee still in her hand.
"It better be very important to disturb me from my beauty sleep," she smirked making her way towards Barry as he stood up.
Barry smiled at her, "It's not like you need it," he replied kissing her, "You're beautiful either way."
Y/N pulled away and looked up at him, "You're such a cheesy goofball," she said shaking her head.
"Yeah," Barry nodded. "But I'm your cheesy goofball."
--At S.T.A.R. Labs--
"Goodmorning," Cisco said welcoming the two speedsters into the Cortex.
Y/N shot him a questioning look, "What did you do?" she asked, stopping at the entrance of the Cortex, unsure of if she wanted to enter fully.
"What? I didn't do anything," Cisco said denying her comment.
"No," Barry said shaking his head, "I agree with Y/N, you're acting weird, what'd you break and how much is it going to cost?"
Cisco let out a sigh, "Okay, one, I didn't break anything, and two, I brought you here for a surprise," Cisco said gesturing over to the other side of the Cortex.
"Harry," Barry said with a smile as he walked over and gave him a hug. Y/N stood still at the entrance of the Cortex not knowing who this 'Harry' was exactly. As far as she was concerned, there was a complete and total stranger standing in the Cortex, a stranger who most likely knew Barry's secret identity, and then there was Cisco, who was okay with everything that was happening.
"Y/N, this is Harry, Harry, this is Y/N," Cisco said introducing them.
"Hi," Y/N smiled as she shook his hand. "How exactly do we know you?" she asked looking at Barry.
"Harry here is from Earth 2, he helped me fight Zoom and Savitar. He's Harrison Wells minus the whole Thawne situation," Barry explained.
Y/N nodded along, "So he's the real Harrison Wells," Y/N said flashing him a friendly smile. "Might I ask why you are here?"
"Cisco called me, said you guys needed my help...again," Harry said looking over to Cisco who stood at one of his many computers.
Y/N nodded, "No offense Harry, but how are you going to help us exactly?" she asked.
"I'm somewhat of a speedster expert, I've dealt with them a lot in my past," he explained, trying to gain some form of trust with Y/N. "And just who might you be?" Harry asked.
"Y/N here is the Flash from Earth-5, she's been here for nearly 4 years now, she also happens to be my wife," Barry smiled as he wrapped an arm around her.
"Earth-5, wasn't that Earth destroyed?" Harry questioned.
"Yes," Y/N quickly replied, trying to suppress the memories of everything she'd lost on that day. Y/N was still unsure of how she felt, however, her thoughts were quickly interrupted by an alert sounding in the Cortex.
