Misty's POV
The Night Fury stared down at us as everyone quivered in fear. Even the dragons themselves dared not defy this unforgiving beast. Thats when Gigi strolled into the town square like she owned the place. Laughing, studying her nails and flicking her hair she walked towards the fountain, unaware of the danger she was in. Get out of there! Get out of there before your nothing more than a blackened pile of dust on the floor! Sure, I hated Gigi but I wouldn't wish such a horrible death on anyone, not even her.
"Well that was lame! Look! Even the dragons are staring at me! They must think I'm just so dazzling! Well I am, I know!" She burst into a fit of giggles. The Night Fury crouched down, it's wings slightly raised, tail swishing from side to side and teeth bared in a snarl. In a quick motion it leapt gracefully down, off the fountain and on to the ground and landed right behind Gigi, letting out a low growl.
Gigi froze, her hazel eyes wide with horror as her head slowly swivelled around. The Night Fury opened it's wings and let out a loud roar right in Gigi's face. I willed Gigi to run but she was frozen in place by fear as the Night Fury leaned back a bit and opened its mouth wide. Between its jaws a blue light appeared, an obvious sign that it was about to send a plasma blast straight at the trembling girl before it. It formed the ball of energy and just as it was about to strike...
"NOOOOOO!" I screamed. My feet were pounding against the earth as I ran right out to Gigi, pushing her out of the way. The Night Fury paused, surprised at the sudden turn of events. My mind was whirling and I couldn't think clearly. It opened its mouth once more and I sqeezed my eyes shut, waiting for the pain. A loud roar split the air, causing my head to pound and I felt claws close around my waist. My eyes snapped open as I felt myself start to rise into the air. The Night Fury was clutching me whilst ascending higher and higher into the night sky, rain pouring down stinging my cheeks and plastering my bronze hair to my face. People were screaming and yelling on the ground, now out of sight as I was carried away into the distance by the most feared dragon of them all.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We had been flying for about 30 minutes now and I was starting to get bored. I know I should be scared but that along with the churning of my stomach had disappeared about 20 minutes into the flight. I opened my mouth to catch some raindrops when I saw glowing orange lights in the distance. I squinted and made out some triangle shapes. The Night Fury's wings started beating faster and faster until we were zipping through the air faster that you could imagine. As we got closer I realised it was an island with a village that was also under attack by dragons. I groaned.
"You mean we just got away from a battle between people and dragons just to get in the middle of another one?" I complained. The Night Fury didn't respond and I snorted with annoyance. My eyes then widened, oh gosh, I'm becoming like Marble! I looked away, trying to avoid having to see another village being torn up by dragons until I heard a wizzing in the air. I looked over my shoulder to see a net spinning towards us with rocks attacked to it like wieghts. I looked down to see a scrawny figure next to some sort of cannon like thing. The net wrapped itself around me and the Night Fury. I grunted with pain as the netting dug into my skin, giving me rope burns. "Nice invention you've got there scrawnzer" I muttered before wincing as the ropes tightened around my body. Then we were spinning, falling to the ground. "Just great!" I said sarcastically, rolling my eyes. I saw the ground rushing up to meet me before I was engulfed by darkness.
