My arms opened up for a hug and she walked into them. Her body shook in my arms.
"Jc," she pulled away, "I knew you guys were dating. I pretended I didn't because I like you but I did." My arms fell back to my sides when I heard that. After that the tears wouldn't stop coming. The words were trapped in my throat, I loved Jenn, how could Lia sabotage that. I felt bad for her before, but it was all because she had some stupid crush on me. All I could think to do was get away from her. Being around her made me sick. I walked out of the bathroom and back to my room as she continued to cry. The door slammed and I angrily pulled the covers over my body and fell into a deep sleep.

When I woke up the next morning it was almost impossible to get out of bed. Only one more day with all these people in my space though. My door was open and I heard everyone's voices from the kitchen. It seemed like everyone was over what happened last night. Jenn quieted down when I walked into the kitchen.
"Hey Jc." Lia smiled and waved at me. I smiled back reluctantly and opened the fridge. I opened the carton of milk, smelt it, and then drank some.
"That's literally disgusting." Ricky cringed.
"What are you Jack?" I joked with him. No one laughed. Maybe they weren't over what happened yesterday. My actions were clearly not appreciated so I put the carton back in the fridge.
"Well," Sam asked, "Me and Kian are going to the beach soon so who's in?" All the girls wanted to go with them.
"I'm down." I agreed.
"Well I guess if you're going then I'll go too." Ricky said.
"Do I have a choice?" Trevor asked, breaking the tension between the two groups. We all laughed a little and everyone went to go get ready. Before I even ate breakfast I went to my room to get ready. My white pocket tee hung over my blue and white floral board shorts. I put on my ray bans and grabbed a black and white Nike drawstring bag.
"Let's go guys!" Sam shouted up the stairs.
"Someone else has to drive!" Kian added. It had to be Ricky or one of the girls.
"I'll do it!" Andrea yelled down the stairs carrying a black bag with PINK written on it in bold, white letters. Jenn, Lia, and Lauren followed behind her. Everyone was waiting outside in the cars and I was the last one inside. I heard the front door close one more time before I went downstairs. Jenn was in the kitchen getting snacks.
"Hey." I approached her timidly. She looked at me and greeted me with a head nod. I turned around and grabbed an orange and a a can of Original Arizona iced tea.
"Get me one?" Jenn asked. I took one extra can out of the fridge and walked over to her. My hip rested on the counter as I waited for her to take it. Her body turned to face mine and I couldn't stop regretting what I had done.
