*Celeste’s POV*

I hesitated to open the door to my flat. What if he’s still mad? What if he won’t understand? Will he kick me out?

I just stood there in front of the door, waiting for something to happen. But unfortunately, nothing does, which made me groan, rather loudly.

Finally, I decided to open it. I reached my hand to the knob, ever so slowly, and just as I was about to touch it, it suddenly flew open.

Harry stood there, his eyes were slightly red and his curls were in a mess. When he saw me, his face fell and left my presence in a second. He probably heard my groaning and went to see who was at the door.

I stepped inside and closed the door behind me, then making my way to the couch. He wasn’t there; then he is in his room. I walked up to his room and froze when I was in front of his door. My mind was so fuzzy and I couldn’t think straight. I bit my lip, due to my nervousness and sighed.

I opened the door and let myself in, and I saw Harry lying on his bed, his face on the pillow. I sat down on the edge of the bed and said, “Harry? Please believe me, Adrian is just a friend of mine.”

He didn’t move and I decided to lie beside him. I crawled and settled my body beside his, the only difference between our positions was that his body was faced on the bed and mine was facing the ceiling.

“Harry, you have to believe me. I don’t feel anything for him. And I’m sorry that I forgot the time we met, I’m just a little bit… preoccupied,” I said quietly. I felt him stir and turn around, leaving him facing the ceiling, too. I turned my face to him and I saw his face on side view. He had tear tracks on his cheek and his eye was swollen. Now I feel extremely guilty as I bit my lip.

“What’s on your mind? Please, Celeste, I want to know the reason why you don’t remember one of the happiest days of my life,” he said to me sincerely, his voice cracking. I tried so hard not to cry. I can’t tell him, it’s forbidden. Plus, he won’t believe it.

“I-I can’t,” I barely whispered, turning my face to the ceiling again. That’s when I felt his body tense. “Why?” he asked sternly.

“It’s just… very complicated. Please understand, Harry,” I said while closing my eyes. “Do you trust me?”

My question caught him off guard. He didn’t answer at first but he replied, nevertheless. “I do. I just hope I’m right, trusting you.”

“I’m sorry, too,” he said, finally facing me. I faced him, too. “It’s okay, Hazza. I knew you were just angry.” He cracked a small smile.

“You know, I feel like we’re on the same cycle again,” he spoke. I looked at him confusedly. “You know, I feel like we’re just a new couple and we’re in the process of falling in love,” he added. “Except for the fact that I already love you,” he muttered. I pretended I didn’t hear that because I thought he was the only one that was supposed to hear it.

“Sort of,” I remarked. We were silent for a minute, just listening to our slow breaths.

“Let’s go on a date tonight.” It wasn’t a question so I said, “Okay.”

“What should I wear?” I asked him. Before he answered, he intertwined our fingers. “A beautiful dress that fits a beautiful girl,” he said, then kissed the top of my hand which was between both of his hands while looking at me in the eyes. I blushed and smiled.

We laid down there in silence, just enjoying each other’s company. Me; suddenly feeling a small shock of electricity coming from our laced fingers.

“Please, just tell me where we’re going, Harry!” I exclaimed. Me and Harry are currently in his car, me blindfolded and Harry, supposedly smirking. I could just feel it.

“I told you, Celly, it’s a surprise!” he replied to me. I could just imagine him shaking his head at me. I sighed and gave up.

After me and Harry’s intimate moment, he left while I dressed up and came back, after around an hour and a half. He insisted that I wore a blindfold, which I hesitantly accepted. I have no idea where he’s taking me so, I guess I’ll just wait and see.

After what felt like hours, he spoke up. “We’re here.” I didn’t move, considering I was on a blindfold. I heard him release himself from the seatbelt and open the car door then closed it. My door opened as Harry took my hand and help me up.

“You know, if you just take off the blindfold, you wouldn’t be so bothered to help me walk like a cripple,” I retorted.

“Now where would the fun be in that?” There’s that smirk again. “I’ll slap that smirk off your face, Styles,” I said.

“Sorry,” he mumbled. We were currently walking with Harry holding my hand and waist. I wasn’t complaining. I liked this position; I liked him holding me.

Suddenly, I felt the path become unsteady and felt something fine slipping in my sandals. I instantly knew what it was; sand. How could I not know it? It brought out the real me.

If there was sand, then we must be on the-

“We are here!” I heard Harry say loudly. He took off my blindfold as I was mesmerized by the view.

“I know you have a weird connection with the ocean.” He laughed as I smiled at what he said. We walked further up the shore and I saw a picnic blanket with a food basket, lit candle, plates, etc. It was absolutely grand.

“Oh, my gosh, Harry! I’m overwhelmed. It’s so beautiful!” I exclaimed and suddenly wrapped him in a hug. My move caught him off guard but he soon hugged back. I felt his eyes close, like this moment was so special and he wants to make the most of it.

I pulled away and smiled at him. He smiled back as we started a staring contest but unfortunately, Harry blinked sooner than I expected. I laughed at him and tapped my index finger on his nose because I thought it was so cute.

“C’mon, let’s eat.” He pulled my hand as we settled on the blanket. I stared at the sea. “It’s so calm,” I muttered under my breath.

“Did you say something?” Harry asked as I turned my head to him. “The ocean is so calm. I don’t think I’ve ever seen such small waves,” I explained to him as he looked at the ocean, himself.

“You’re right. I almost looks kind of steady.” He smiled and continued to ready the food.

“It almost looks steady!” I exclaimed to him as I started giggling uncontrollably and he smiled at me.

“You’re absolutely right! I don’t think anybody swims on this beach. Well, at least not on night. Maybe on early mornings,” he said, showing off his adorable dimples. Suddenly, he walked towards me and wrapped his arms around my waist from my back and kissed my cheek. My heart fluttered as I blushed.

“You’re so cheesy, Harry,” I said to him as he placed his chin on my shoulder and we began to sway left and right, very slowly.

“I know that this is just our first date, but I feel like- no, scratch that. I’m falling for you, Celestine Adams. Hard.”

I blinked into reality. I know I can’t remember my times with Harry, so I think that must’ve been a flashback.

“Harry? This was our first date, wasn’t it?” I asked, slightly ashamed that I don’t remember. He slowly looked up to me and smiled very weakly. “I-”

“This is where we had our first date,” I said firmly, trying to make Harry realize that I do remember. And that I want to remember.
