I shifted in discomfort as if I was being awoken from my sleep by outside forces. After my senses started coming to, I realized someone's hand was on my shoulder, trying to shake me awake, unfortunately for them, I'm stubborn sometimes.

I was going to rudely address this person, which I assumed was either my mother or sister, when someone spoke up.

"Miss, Miss Rabbit...? Miss...?" the voice called to me as it shook me for the upmost time .

"Sugar, please... give the bunny a rest, would yah?" reprimanded a second more motherly voice to the first.

My body froze. These voices sound so familiar but I couldn't quite place my finger on it. All I knew at this point, was that it clearly didn't belong to my mother or sister.
I gradually opened my eyes and blinked slowly until I could see clearly.  The younger voice called out again, but more excitedly this time around:

"Good morni-?" I stopped mid sentence as I sat up right to see a girl, around about my age, and a cat, staring at me with beaming eyes

"Good morni-?" I stopped mid sentence as I sat up right to see a girl, around about my age, and a cat, staring at me with beaming eyes.

Only it wasn't just any cat and girl, but Fionna and Cake, the genderbent versions of Finn and Jake, from one of my favourite cartoon series', Adventure Time. I rubbed my eyes in disbelief and squinted at them.

"Hello?" I greeted them, but it rather leaning towards more of a question, than greeting.

"Hi! How are you feeling?" Fionna asked politely.

Dumbfounded I replied " Confused..." As I said those words, I felt a throb in my head and I winced at the pain. "-And I have a headache it seems..."

I convinced myself that this probably was a dream, I mean...it's not the first time I've had a dream where I was in a similar scenario, that and it being a dream would be the most logical reason for this. I looked around for some sign that it might be a dream, something that looks different, odd , floating...the time. I glanced at the only clock in their house with drawings of Fionna and Cake as the clock hands, to hopefully have a clear answer.

It certainly didn't appear odd. In fact, it's actually displaying proper time and nothing was out of proportion.
I remembered something my friend told me about the brain not knowing what the time is or what the sky looks like in a dream, so I followed her advice, now looking up at the sky, through their window, and saw that everything is as it should be. No strange clouds or  warpiness in the sky.

"Aw, poor baby, here, let me get you something to help that." Cake said as she moved towards the kitchen with her tail following gracefully behind her.

I have so many questions to ask, but I can't think straight with the massive headache. It felt as though I was clunked over the head with an iron bar.
I let out a heavy sigh and look up at Fionna who's wide eyes stared expectantly.

"You're Fionna the human, right?" I asked this question as if I didn't already know the answer, but I wanted to hear it from her for myself.

"Yes, that's right. Miss Rabbit, what's your name by the way?" She asked in return. I chocked at what she called me.
I completely blanked on the fact that in the world of Adventure Time, I created my persona to be cutesy bunny hybrid, which is far from what I actually seem to be like in reality. Shes more an embodiment of my nature than most else, I wish to believe.
Instinctively I touched the sides of my head and I felt my long white ears. I pulled them down and held them tensely to the side of my head as I stammered my  answer to her.

"Á-Ángelique...My name's Ángelique. Do you have any idea how I got here by any chance?"

"You kinda just showed up on our doorstep, maybe you sleep walked?" Fionna said, probably just as confused as I am.

"Perhaps..."

Cake came back with a glass of water and what seemed to be honey and ginger. She stirred them together in its mug and handed it to me. "It's a home remedy...drink up dear, you'll feel better in a moment."

I smiled at her and took a small sip of the concoction. Strong, sweet and has a bitter after taste, not bad. I downed my drink and licked the residuing honey off my lips.

"Thank you, you're very kind."

Cake sat down next to me with Fionna facing us.
"We can try and help you figure things out but in the mean time, just hang around here until you feel better..." Fionna huffed.

"Fi, Prince Gumball will be over soon to discuss a few things, be sure you're ready." Cake says to her as she groomed herself.

"Oh shmow! You're right and I'm still in my PJ-jays!"

Fionna sprinted up to her and Cake's room to changed from her fuzzy pajamas to her everyday wear. She took less than most people, which is about less than 5 minutes or so to get ready. She jumped down from the stairs leading up to their bedroom and landed confidentialy, sword drawn for the sake of it.

Perfectly timed, there was a knock at the door and there stood a tall pink figure.
