The air was cold but gentle against my skin. The Lord lifted himself and his passengers into the air with his tail following him. I sat behind the Prince, clinging onto his back with both my hands to his sweater not daring to do anything else.
I held my breath. The scenery below me was all the more stunning in person than on a screen, it couldn't even compare to it in fact.
I have never imagined ever being this close to Prince Gumball not even in my dreams.
I'd wrap my arms around him, but we technically just met and I figured it be more comfortable for the both of us if I didn't.

"Are you okay back there?" He asked me, raising his voice so he could be heard above the wind.

"Y-Yes? I think so..."

Suddenly Lord Monochromacorn pulled a full 360 in the air to dodge a mountain to enter under and bolting through its cavern. To my surprise I found my arms around the Prince, my body pressed to his back terrified of losing my life on this hellish ride. Funny enough, I could just about make out a barely audible chuckle from the Prince as our lift came to a steady halt near the boarders of the Candy Kingdom.

My voice was stolen from me and I'm pretty sure I lost my stomach along the way. I froze up in shock which left me clinging to his back ,breathing hoarsly and desperate to get some oxygen back into my lungs. The Prince turned back to me, his face morphing into a horrified look of worry. "Angelique! Are you alright?" He asked me, turning around to grip my shoulders. Intern my eyes began to water, I would have stopped myself but I had no control over my body. Prince Gumball took a heavy sigh and dismounted from the Lord and picked me up in the same manner he put me onto the chromacorn.

I didn't complain too much about it this time. He walked me all the way to his castle gates, attracting attention from the many Candy people. Slowly I became increasingly more embarrassed everytime we past by someone who stopped what they we doing to stare. I couldn't bare it anymore so I shut my eyes and turned into his chest.

"Sire, who's the stranger? Did she hurt you?" Said a banana guard, rushing up to Prince Gumball's side with a spear in hand.
Their nasally voices so hard to miss.

"She's no trouble, infact she's harmless. Go and ask Doctor Ice-cream to prepare her a room where she can be treated. She's...not doing well." He answered, almost amused by his people for being frantic over nothing.
The banana guard ran off making siren sounds as he went. I couldn't help giggling a little. Banana guards are unintentionally adorable.

"You can put me down now." I said, looking up at the Prince, but then averting again. I honestly didn't want to be a burden, I'm sure I could carry myself for a bit.

"Not until I get you inside." He said, a large smile on his face. I huffed, feeling helpless but at the same time assured that he'll look after me.

My thoughts travel back to Fionna and Cake, and how awesome it was to see them in person, like I could physically touch them...I'm beginning to think maybe I'm just the genuiepig for some sort of nerve gear or VR device.

"I'll escort you to your room and Doctor Ice-cream will be with you shortly, He's our very best in the kingdom." He adds as he turns a corner into a hallway.

Moments after we arrived, we stopped at a room which looked like it was suited for patients. He gently placed me onto the bed in the room, it was fairly soft and hard at the same time- which sorta reminded me of my bed at home.

The Prince walked towards a desk where he sat briefly to write something down. I watched him carefully, still processing I'm seeing him in person right now.

He turned back to look at me, I gave him an awkward smile and what was supposed to be a wave. He smiled back, standing up from his chair and came over to me.

"Right. Doctor Ice-cream will be here shortly, he's going to perform a check up to see how serious your current condition is. Hopefully, it's just a heavy migraine." The Prince folded his arms over his chest and looked down at the ground thinking intensely.

"Ah, good afternoon, Prince Gumball, how may I be of service? I've heard you're  need of my assistance?" Said a large rectangular figure at doorway, wearing a stethoscope and a lab coat.

The Prince turned and shook the hand of the stranger and he walked in, looked at me and placed a black clutched bag next to the desk. "Thank you for making yourself available, Doctor. I know how difficult this might be longside tending to other patients."

The Doctor opened his bag, pulled out a thetoscope and put it around his neck before responding. "Never a problem, your highness. Nurse Pound Cake is taking over for me in the mean time."

Doctor Ice-cream walked up to me, briefly looking me over and then put down a notepad to-which I guessed- was to record my symptoms.
"I need to assess your heartbeat, miss." He asked me gesturing for me to lift my shirt.

I, Of course , haven't been to the doctor since I was 12 and let's say a lot has changed about my...anatomy since then. So, little ol' me is very uncomfortable about that right now- Oblivious candy people or not. Plus, the Prince was there too.

"Um-" I looked up at Prince Gumball helplessly. He looked up at me and looked away, turning his back on me like a gentleman.

With much hesitance, I trusted the candy doctor to do so. He pressed the icy cold device against my chest and I shuddered. Since I was a kid that has one of my least favourite things about going.
After he listened for a few seconds and then wrote his analysis on his clip board.

He took out a thermometer from his bag and a few other basic instruments to continue the checkup, it also included doing X-RAY scans of my body- which I felt was a bit much but Prince Gumball insisted.

The Doctor did a few other assessments and finally drew a conclusion.
"Based on the information I recorded, it's been confirmed that you do indeed have a migraine which currently is just slightly over mild, it could become serious if you don't treat it immediately. I'll be prescribing you with a bottle of pain medication in the mean time until your next check up. Take one of those pills after every meal you have with a glass of water. Just a warning, you may tend to be drowsy at when you first start using it, but over time your body will adjust over time."

Prince Gumball raised an eyebrow at him. "Is that all? She tends to fall over when she stands up and she has trouble walking as well, can it be because of the migraine as well?"

The doctor glanced at me. I caught his stern gaze and I looked to the floor anxiously as if it was a painting by Picasso.
"Well. It could be a possible side-effect of the migraine, most likely temporarily damaging to her motor skills. She should be fine after taking the tablets."

The Prince sighed relieved.
"Good. Thank you, Doctor Ice-cream. I can't thank you enough."

I watched the Doctor straighten his jacket, bow in respect for his Highness and walk out the room. As I listened to his footsteps become more distant, Prince Gumball put one of his hands on my shoulder and gave me a reassuring look.
"Are you able to walk?" He asked me.

I attempted to stand up slowly, giving my body a chance to register I'm going to be using my legs. I stood up fine, walking is what was in question.
I took a step forward, then another and with the third step I tumbled over again. At this point I couldn't tell if I was just a cluts or there was something really wrong with me.

Luckily there was a counter I could grab onto before falling face first to the ground.
"Nevermind then. Here, let me help you."

The Prince smiled at me and I smiled back.
