I was walking down the hallway with my earphones on then suddenly...

Bang!

The next thing I know a guy is lying on the floor looking helpless so I offered my hand for help.

"Hala I'm sorry. My bad..." and a bunch of tagalog I'm very much unfamiliar with. He said in a panic. "It's fine. My apologies as well." I replied.

He stood up then realized how tall he is. Hes maybe an inch or two taller than me. He has fair skin and quite resembles Taylor Lautner in facial features. Only younger and less buffy. He's cute. Not that I'm attracted to men, I just had a thought that this guy might be famous in school or something. But his eyes. There's something different from the way he looks at me.

"I'm Wayne, we are your new neighbors", introducing myself to whom I think my new "kapitbahay". I learned the word from my mom. She said "Be nice to our kapitbahay" inside the cab on our way here.

I waited for about ten seconds for a reply. Then I repeated myself "I'm wayne, we are your neighbors". I smiled then broke free from his trance.

"I'm...I'm late"

Ok this guy is not feeling well, I think. My smile got wider and replied "Well, hello late" then I began laughing.

"I'm sorry. I'm Timothy. Nice meeting you but I have to go" he replied politely. "Why sure, you take care then". I smiled for the last time then he fell on a trance again.

"Are you certain youre okay?" I snapped right into his face. Is this guy mental or something? I guess I'll find out.

"Uhm..yea yea. Bye". Last thing he said before he left me, running. I had to be honest, this guy is quite peculiar. Odd yet interesting.

---a few days earlier---

"This is your pilot Steven Roberts and in behalf of my co-pilot Jake Peters and our cabin crew. Thank you for flying with us" a male with a coarse voice resounding from the speakers of the entire plane.

People are quite busy collecting their luggages and bags. It was a 14-hour plane ride, with 3 meals, 2 pukes and 1 butt cramp. It was exhausting. But I must say, I commend that steward for supporting me in my puke episodes.

"Mom, let me carry those" I said to her while trying to grasp most of our luggages. I had an hour of nap so I'll be fine. My mom however, was awake the entire flight. Shes aviophobic. And she was crying in secret the whole time. I can tell.

"Thank you dear" she said on a tired voice. So we lined up to the exit, pass thru the tunnel connecting the plane to the arrival area, then off to the luggage area.

We went at a nearby hotel. It was passed 11pm when we arrived and my mom got us the room near the hotel swimming pool.

"This will be the start of our new life, son." said my mom in a sleepy voice. She was already in bed after she took a shower.

"Yes mom, like I always say, it will be difficult for me to make adjustments but for your sake and for what we have left, you'll have my support" I explained while getting ready for a swim.

"I'm going  for a swim mom. Getting rid of my jet lag". I shut the door quitely then headed straight outside to take a dip on the pool.

I'm not alone at this time of the night. A group of people are having fun on the other side of the pool.

"Hey cutie, care for some shots?" asked by the man holding two red cups while approaching towards my side of the pool.

"I don't want to sound rude but Im on a jet lag. I don't think drinking would help" trying my best to politely refuse the offer.
