Revenge...

I drove to the library not knowing what was going to happen next. It was dark outside, but I could see the moon behind the foggy clouds. I turned on my headlights in hope to at least see 5 feet in front of me. I pulled up a few blocks away from the library. I put the gun on a holster on the side of me. I covered it with my shirt and continued to walk to save my daughter. I finally after what felt like a mile got to the library. I tried to open the door surprised it did open. I saw nothing just complete darkness. I heard something and then one light turned on. I saw Elana in a chair tied to it with tape over her mouth like something you would see in the movies. Her hair that looked just like her mothers was all messed up and her face was wet from crying. Colleen came up from behind her with her gun in her left hand. (she was left handed.)

"Elana!" I cried out as as tears fell down my face uncontrollably. "Just let her go!" I sobbed.

"Why?" she asked.

"Because she is just a little girl and this is just SICK!" I said that word with my teeth grinding together.

"How about we trade then?" she said with a grin.

"What do you want?" I said irritated with her."

"For you to leave that thing you call a family." She said pointing the gun to Elanas head.

"JUST LET THEM GO!" I shouted.

"You have ten seconds to decide, your time starts now. Ten....nine..." she started counting down.

"You can take me away from my family but you can NEVER EVER make me love you or stop loving them more than ANYTHING IN THE WORLD." I said raising my voice.

"So than what's your choice?" She said cocking the gun.

I sighed "I'll go with you if I can drop Elana back with her mom." I answered.

"Fine." she said pulling the gun away from Elanas head. I then quickly pulled out my gun and aimed it at Colleen.

"Now you can drop the gun and give up." I stated.

She put her hands in the air not letting go of her gun and ran away shooting back at me. I then started shooting at her and hit her right in her heart. Elana flinched as she heard the bullets. I saw as behind Elana a pool of blood started to form quickly. When the gun fell a shoot rang out. I then put my gun away and ran to Elana. I grabbed my pocket knife and cut the duct tape and slowly took the tape off her mouth.

"Daddy!" she said once the tape was off. She opened her arms as did I.

"I love you soooooooo much!" I said.

"I love you too daddy." She said.

"Lets get out of here." I said. She tried to look back but I turned her away in hope she wouldn't be traumatized more than she already was. Once we got to the car I called 911 and told them I would be at the hospital. Yes she was bad and it was self defense but I still KILLED a person. I knew this was something that was going to haunt me for the rest of my life but my family would be safe for now.
