The girl in the mirror
Won't get any thinner
If you don't leave this apartment
But you can't go outside
Unless you're feeling fine
Because their words will tear you apart
Mint breath, perfect hair
And a walk with a flair
It's what they say really matters
But aside from all that
What about a good heart?
Or is it only there to be shattered?
They tell us you can't love you
If you're not a size two
You don't look like the girls in the picture
And if you don't love you
No one else can too
Who made up this society structure?
Hearts matter, souls matter
The minds of young girls matter
So what does this all really mean?
Without make up masks and fancy dress
Caring just a little less
Could we really still achieve all our dreams?
