coffee burns

        Alex and I just walked and talked for the most part. We mostly just talked about school.

"i can't believe you want to talk about that place when you just graduated." I told Alex.

"yea, it is pretty stupid. Everyone says high school is the best time of your life but really its the time after. The time when you have choices, you can go to college or stay at home all day and do nothing or you can move far away." It was amazing how we both thought alike,,, well as far as i could tell within the past hour we think alike.

We came upon a coffee shop and Alex stopped. "want something?" he asked me as he held the doors handle, getting ready to open it.

"sure, why not" i could use some coffee. It actually sounded really good right now. So we walked in and Alex held the door open for me and replied with a thank you.

I did not pay attention to who was in the coffee shop until i sat down. One other person was in the shop and they were at the counter. I felt their eyes on me. I dared meet their gaze to find... Luke. SHIT.

Alex took a seat across from me and smiled. I felt embarrassed! Luke was still looking at us. Then suddenly he started to walk over. Luke surprised Alex with a pat on his back. "What's up bro?" Luke asked as he stood in front of us. 

"hey, sup man?" Alex replied and him and Luke did some handshake dudes do. Luke suddenly turned back on me. 

"I hope you don'y mind Alex but can i borrow Kayla?"

"you mean rose?" Alex winked at me. A blush was coming on but i try to stop it, but it only made it worse probably." sure."

I got up and walked with Luke outside the store. He continued to walk down the street.

"LUKE! WHERE ARE YOU GOING" I yelled down the street. One good thing about the french quarter is that in most parts you don't have to be quite. He ran back up to me and grabbed my arm and pulled me with him. 

"we are going home!" He still had a grip on my arm, and it really started to hurt. My hand connected with his face and he let go. His face turned red (a) because i just slapped him. (b) cause i could tell he was getting angry. A random thought crossed my mind that i just slapped a werewolf at night, during a full moon. Maybe not the best idea. I couldn't back down now though.

"I'm not going anywhere with you when you are dragging me without an explanation." I said calmly but firm. 

"you can't be around humans right now! Now you are going to come with me whether you like it or not." he stepped closer and grabbed my arm again. I don't get scared easily, especially by my friends but Luke kind of just succeeded of making me shit my pants.

I yanked my arm back again, it didn't do anything. "What about Alex i can't just leave him in there to go with you, and what do you mean can't be around humans right now?" Luke didn't reply all he did was cover my mouth with his hand and continued to drag me away. I was being kidnapped by my best friend. I felt so bad for Alex. He probably thinks i left him. I tried to squirm to get away from Luke. Obviously i failed every time.

 

I'm going back to change some of the older chapters btw.
