The Pure One

so what am i?

 

"the pure one, is a one of a kind." Theresa said happily, i think things might be less dark now. "how much of the book did you read?"

"oh um not a lot," oh no i was suppose to read, i don't even do my homework why would i read that stupid book.

" how far did you get?" she asked

'not pass the first page," She looked at me kinda hurt that i wouldn't read

"what!? i don't  like reading and it sounded so stupid, then zack found me on is bed so..."

"what! why were you on zack's bed?" oh lord, Luke was now worried why i said i was on someones bed instead of explaining to me what the hell is all of this.

"i wanted to find a place to read it, and you wouldn't remember that well you were drunk, idiot." maybe i am the one in the prophecy i am quite sassy. Luke shut up after that.

"anyways," Theresa cut in the silence created, "oh wow where do i begin? well um... for starters you have abilities, but  we'll talk about that later, it is so late." No she didn't, tell me i have abilities and then say its late! She got up and headed towards the door. Luke got up and i followed. she opened the door and stepped outside, the next thing knew she had wings! she released these sparkly wings that were a dusty golden color.

"what the hell!!!" i screamed as she did this, she turned to me and smiled.

"there..there are things on your back!" Luke was now looking at me. He leaned into my ear and whispered "she's a fairy."

"a fairy? ok yea what do i expect, for things to be normal of course not." i am not sure if anything else could surprise me.

"just come on" Luke grabbed my hand and was leading me out the door.

it was a nice city.people were walking on the street and going out to eat. Some people were going to clubs to dance.Theresa was just walking but had her wings out. I looked up to see Luke smiling at the night life something i always do but i was having trouble smiling right now. we walked forever, next thing i know we are standing in front of an ocean. 

'Luke, where are we exactly? i mean we are in the immortal realm but this looks kinda familiar." i asked Luke getting  on my tip toes to whisper in his ear while Theresa went to go talk to some man in a small building that was on a dock, she flew over there and watching her wings flutter was enchanting. 

" the immortal realm and mortal realm are identical geographically right now we are in LA." i looked at him with a shocked face one moment we were in New Orleans and now we are where i hope i can call home soon. but in a different realm. He smiled down at me i think he liked showing me all off this new world. 

Theresa came back and i saw a boat come up to the dock. Luke took my hand and led me to the dock where we met up with Theresa and a man. I looked on the boat to see a crew. 

i leaned back up to Luke's ear, "are they like you know, fairies or something?" Luke just laughed at me

"no they are mortals, a lot of mortals have discovered us and some decide to stay here and others are born here." so this realm is somewhat normal. there are normal people here just some people are a bit special i guess.

we loaded the boat and i looked out into the distance to see an island not too far away. to be honest i could swim there in maybe 20 minutes perhaps. 

"hello there my name is Earl and this is my crew."  the man that Theresa has been talking to said once he approached me. 

"hey there i'm Kayla" i held out my hand and he shook it.

"so how did you discover you are well, the pure one" he asked fascinated, "did you accidental discover some power or something."

"OK!", i yelled, i didn't want to but i still didn't know what exactly i was. " what are my powers? people need to start telling me stuff, please! COMMUNICATION PEOPLE!!!!" A mood swing hit hard. Not sure if its the irritation of being ignorant or what.

"Kayla please settle down" Luke said as he grabbed me arm.

"stop grabbing me Luke, GODDAMN IT! i want to know what is going on and thank you for telling me what you have but apparently i can do something weird like grow wings out of my back or turn into a weird fury werewolf thing!" now i was throwing my arms everywhere and everyone on the boat was silent, for some reason the full moon was standing out to me almost like a calling.The boat was rocking. I noticed waves were forming, not just regular ones but rough big ones. i stopped and tried to settle myself down. once i calmed down so did the waves.

"we'll talk once we get to our house." he wrapped his arm around my shoulders and guided me to the front of the boat and pointed to a mansion like house. The island was bigger close up. A few other buildings were on the island, but only one house.

"our house?" i asked. I had a house here, and i shared it with Luke?

"yea that building right there is ours." he was proud of this structure and i was too that was my house it looked like it belonged to a celebrity but it was our house, only for 2 people. Seemed a little much. One side of the island had a beach and the other was rocky shores. we arrived on a dock on the rocky side of the island and excited the boat. 

"thank you Theresa" Luke said turning back to Theresa still on the boat. i guess she wasn't coming  with us.

"see you tomorrow love" Theresa waved to me and it wasn't  until now i realized she had a french accent.

"bye, and thank you for helping me." i waved back to her.

Luke bumped my shoulder signalling me to walk on. we walked up to the great house and stood in front of a big double door that looked like it was meant to survive a war. Luke typed in a code into a number pad by the door. it then opened a compartment that released a scanner where Luke placed his hand. wow, this place was high tech. the doors then opened into a long hallway with tall ceilings. we continued to walk down the hall to another door that opened to another room. this place is weird. But now Luke lead me to an elevator. I looked at the thing in the elevator that tells you what floor you are on. apparently there are 4 floors.

"you're gonna love it here. Now that it is summer we spend a lot of time here." he said, he was so excited. wait a second.

"we?" 

"oh yea, you'll see." he smiled because he had a dirty little secret.

when the elevator opened we were in a new hallway. with many doors that had writing on them but i didn't read any of it i just looked ahead. then we reached a new big double door. This inside was nice and home like.when the doors opened i took in the room. it had a huge TV and a kitchen. you could see the entire city out of the wall that was mosstly  window. i was snapped out of my gaze of appreciation for my house when i noticed two boys wrestling on the floor.

who are the boys wrestling? oooooo i wish i had Kayla's new house. i am kinda concerned that i am explaining too much at once so if you need a character review i might do one later. just so you can keep up on who is who.
