I can't sleep, I can't even close my eyes without continuously re imagining how her hand was on my shoulder, with that cold wet knife pressing into my neck. It gave me shivers thinking about it, and I felt like someone was watching me.
I stayed in that cold bed for hours, occasionally rolling over and letting a few tears slip out from the corners of my eyes. The whole night and into the early hours of the morning I stayed there thinking about what the hell I could have done in the beginning of this life, or my past lives to deserve this one horrible life.
Getting up from the bed when I saw pure morning light shine through the light blue curtains. I walked over to the little nook in the wall and sat down on the plush pillows and I pulled the curtains in front of me. This was going to become my place. I was alone, but not a sad alone, the alone that you can welcome because it's quiet. Its peaceful, and your relaxed while your doing something you love, in my case. Reading. I was reading a timeless romance that had somehow made it many years after it had been written by a marvelous man, to my hands. Not the same original copy of course, a rewrite, but still in the same old English that the original copy was written in.
Romeo and Juliet. Of course it was harder to read than a normal book written in this time period, but you have to give it credit. It was a classic about a young couple who having only known each other for a day or two, feel in love, enough to die when seperated. It really did reminded me about werewolf mates.
Just imagine it, two young werewolves, met for a brief second at a Luna's ball before being pulled away from each other by their families due to a long past hatred. Then somehow finding their way back to one another, but couldn't have a relationship because their packs have been at war for ages. For centuries. They realized that they couldn't be together, but they knew that their was no way that they could live without each other. So they killed each other and it brought their packs together, allowed many members to find their mates and opened up new trade between the packs along with peace for many years to come.
My mind gets away from me sometimes. Why? I have no idea. It just happens, its sad when someones brain is so complicated even it's own owner can't figure it out.
I sat there for what felt like forever. Soon the sunrise was over, and the dark clouds well known in this area were rolling in. A perfect day for reading is making it's self known. All the readers of all the different genre realms will silently unite on this day.
Since I knew I was most likely going to sit in the same spot for the rest of this perfect day, I pulled the curtains back to see a awaking alpha.
"Good morning." He said groggily as he sat up and swung his legs over the side of the bed. "I will be working all day, are you going to be okay all by yourself?"
I nodded as I walked across the room to the massive dark bookshelf on the opposite side.
"Good, I will have a few people come and check on you a few times though. Just to make sure you are okay."
I nodded again and continued to browse through the massive collection of classics to modern books that he had somehow collected. I saw another Shakespeare play, the Bible, the Mormon Bible...why would he need a Mormon Bible. I continued browsing and pulled out a multi book series called The Selection Series. I only pulled out the first two books because after all it was a five book series.
"I picked that series out for you, with some help of my mom though." He says chuckling slightly and walking into the .
"T-t-t-thanks" I said as I turned and walked back to my nook. I didn't close the curtains though, because I didn't want to be rude. When he came out of the bathroom he had a wet head and a wet T-shirt that clung to his body from the leftover water droplets from his hair. If I wasn't shy, I would totally tell him how hot he looks right now. Holy Moly. KAT! Stop that! He's not yours, he has better chances with someone else anyway, Right?
He walked into the closet and grabbed a few items and waked back into the bathroom, obviously to get dressed.
A few minutes later he came out of the bathroom and over to my little nook, as he sat down he said "I will have one of the pack members bring you food and a guard will be up to make sure your okay every 20 minutes. I hope you like the books and the little nook, as you have already made yourself comortable." He said with a chuckle, "Well, I have to go, you can read any book you want in here and if you run out with in the next week well go pick out a few when we go house shopping at the end of the week. Bye!" He walked out of the door and left me alone to multiple different realms of my choice for the whole day, with the occasional interruption of the guard, along with snack and bathroom breaks. I like this life a lot better than my old one.
