"What did she say?" Sal asked Joe.
"Uhh" Joe murmured.
"Did she say she loved me?" Sal asked.
"I'm just gonna leave Sal. You two can sort it out. What about you and Samantha?" Joe asked.
"She said she doesn't know yet" sal said.
"But Emily knows how she feels" joe reminded him. "Why wait for someone who doesn't know and go to somebody who does" he added.
Sal knew he was right.
"How do you feel about Emily?" Joe asked.
"I..." he stuttered.
"Exactly" joe told him.
Sal ran up the stairs to try and find me. I was hiding behind my door crying. I don't know how to explain this. What do I tell my sister? I just didn't know what to do. He gently knocked the door.
"Emily?" He said. I didn't answer. He slumped onto the floor on the other side of the door.
I tried to hold back my tears so he didn't hear me.
"What did you mean earlier?" He asked. I again, don't answer.
"Did you say you loved..me?" He asked.
I didn't even know how to respond!
"You know I wish we met ages ago-" he began. I slowly opened the door. He looked up. I sat next to him and rested my head on his shoulder as he wrapped his arm around me.
"Why?" I asked.
"It would of been simpler" he said.
"I'm sorry" I said to him.
"I'm sorry" he added.
"For what?" I asked.
"Not saying it back" he told me. I looked up at him confused.
He suddenly kissed me.
