Ch. 29 What It's like to be gone.

  Harry quickly grabbed Leo's diaper bag and began to pack all of the things he would need to take care of him on their little outing today. It turns out today was going to be the first day Zayn was really going to be able to spend time with his son.

                "Are you ready to see daddy today huh?" Harry asked as he began to put a few bottles into the insulated pocket of Leo's diaper bag. Luke was out of town for a few days with Ashton doing a few secret things for the wedding Harry had to some how postpone, and or call off all together. In fact that's the big thing he has to bring up to Zayn today he just hopes it doesn't cause too much of a problem.

     "alright Love, it's time to get your gear on." Harry says lifting Leo up out of his high chair and moving to get him dressed in the new outfit he bought for him last week just for this special day. It was a pair of khaki pants and a little pink Floyd t-shirt with a Jumper and converse.

    Harry finished dressing Leo and just on time because Zayn just arrived, well he was there for a while but he wanted  to put the new car seat he got for Leo together before Harry arrived outside. He was struggling to say the least and he ended up having to find a how-to video on YouTube. 

    Just as he finished Harry made his way down the stairs outside his flat, and he came in sight of Zayn. Zayn had the most nervous look on his face. He was more than nervous to be spending time with his son.

    "Good morning Harreh." he says his nervousness making his deep Bradford accent come out.

   "Hello, hey Leo wanna see daddy." Harry whispers into the carrier he was holding with the base of his arm.

    Leon didn't acknowledge either of them at the moment, because he was too distracted by his hands which he was scrunching in and out just for the hell of it. Zayn noticed it and began to chuckle quietly.

      "Um, I got him a new car seat." Zayn says moving out of the way of the back seat so that the bright green car seat would be visible.

    Harry's eyes went bright with excitement, although he knew that the car seat was clearly for a 8 month year old while Leo was only about three and a half months. He gave Zayn a smile before finally moving to give him a kiss on the cheek.

   "I love it thanks Zayn, but it's going to be a bit until Leon can fit in that." Harry says as kindly as possible.

    Zayn sighs but he doesn't seem upset he just seems a bit disappointed. Harry moves the carrier to his hands before holding it up for Zayn to grab.

   "Here, take Leo and then I'll get his car seat from Luke's car." Harry suggests.

   Zayn tenses at the thought of using something that Luke bought because he hates the fact that he isn't taking care of his son or Harry for that fact. Zayn slowly and carefully takes the baby carrier and he prepped himself for Leon to cry for being in a "strangers' hands but Leon did the exact opposite, instead he started to laugh cheerfully.

   Harry was already half way to the car when he did this but he heard it and god did it make him feel good to know that they didn't have to go through the whole process of getting Leon warmed up to his real father. Harry quickly grabbed the car seat and made his way back to his soon to be family...hopefully.

   Zayn had Leon out of the carrier by now and he was just cuddling up to him talking to him as if he was an adult that needed to be caught up on everything around him. Harry almost melted at the sight, some things just really make you happy Harry seeing his son in Zayn's arms made him happy.simple.

    "Are you ready to go babe?" Zayn asked Harry breaking him out of his daze.

     "yeah, where are we going by the way?" Harry questioned as he began to hook Leon's car seat into the back Of Zayns Range rover.
