Chapter 40

Chapter 40: Premiere Night

It's been 2 weeks since Ren told Kyoko his biggest secret. Over the weeks, Ren fell lower and lower into despair and would only smile to keep up his image. The thought of the girl he loved so much just up and leaving him broke his heart more and more each day.

He would go to LME every other day to talk with Lory to see if there was any word on Kyoko's whereabouts, but alas Lory would just say she's most likely still at her job and says her phone is off.

After the fourth time, Ren came to see him, Lory started to get concerned about both of his top actors. First, he was concerned about Kyoko; wondering if something happened to her physically that caused her to not contact anyone. Then there was Kuon, Lory feared this event will destroy his spirit to ever love again or make him feel that he doesn't deserve it.

The premiere was starting as limos form a line at the end of the red carpet. The first person to exit a limo was Kijima Hidehito, who played the warrior Sen he was wearing a black suit. The next to walk down the carpet was Murasame Taira and Kotonami Kanae, who played Prince Ukon and Orella. Murasame was in a black suit similar to Kijima's. Kanae was in a purple knee-high dress with purple heels and her hair was in long black curls. The following couple to walk down the red carpet was Kuu Hizuri, who played King Kano with his lovely wife Julie at his side. Both had matching outfits, Kuu in a sand coloured suit and Julie in a full-length sand coloured dress.

There was only one last couple left to walk down the red carpet.

Kyoko was standing on one side of the limo, waiting for her cue to walk down the red carpet. She knew that she was next as Kuu was currently on the red carpet as well as she saw the other main cast doing their walk.

Those last few weeks, Kyoko was normally sad when she wasn't modelling. She missed the man she loved deeply and because of that jealous model on the first day she lost her only way to contact him.

Kyoko raised her head when she heard her name being called, she pushes off the limo but before setting foot on the red carpet her arm was grabbed. When she turning to look who it was, she was in a man's embrace. She takes a deep breath as her nose fills with a scent she knew very well; it was his smell.

"Kuon..." Kyoko said in a whisper so no one but her and the man holding her could hear.

He heard his real name escape her lips, any anger he had towards the young woman was subsided for now. She only moved closer wrapping her arms around him. He felt her trembling and instinctively tightens his grip on her. He had faint hope this woman was still his and only his.

"Kyoko, I would like to speak with you after the viewing." Kuon said to the woman in a knee-high strapless red dress which in a different situation would drive him nuts.

Kyoko looks up to see his face not paying much attention to the darkness in his eyes, " I would like to speak with you as well."

She smiles at her love, "I think we should walk down the red carpet."

Ren casts Kuon back to show the gentleman the public knew, he releases her from his embrace but offers his arm to her, "May I have the honour of being your date for tonight, Princess?" he asked, pulling out a little of Seika to speak with his on and off-screen love.

Kyoko smiles, lifting her role of Princess Anysia to the surface as she grabs his arm, "You may, my warrior."

Ren picked up a little more serenity in her voice then normal, he thinks it was just the role but there was still some hope that after the viewing to find out if she did still love him as well as her whereabouts for the last 2 weeks. He had his doubts and negative thoughts beginning to manifest in his mind.
