Just Your Average Family

Chapter 6

-the night of the full moon-
Tonight was the full moon, Bella had moved all her necessities (her sketch book, headphones, charger, phone, mechanical pencil, lead, erasers, and coloring supplies.) Already in the secret room. She waved good-bye to her family as she headed down into the basement to her secret room. Closing the secret room's door and locking all the locks on the door a well. She sat on her bed and waited for the night to be over.

-Meanwhile-
The rest of the family began their painful transitions to their full monster forms. Edd being half monster, did have some negative affects on his magic during the Full moon. He had Bella take Ringo with her so his little cat would not get hurt. His room now seemed empty without that little cat. But it was for the best, What if my powers accidentally hurt Ringo or Worse? He told himself, and looked at his drawings on his desk. When there was a loud thud in the room next to his. It was Tom's room, part of him wanted to check on his brother, while the other part told him to obey the rules about staying in the rooms. He opened his door, knocked on Tom's.
"Tom?.." He asked, and was answered by growls. He opened the door, Tom was on the floor, a large scaly purple tail wrapped around him. Edd quietly shut the door behind him, "Tom?" He asked again, Tom turned his head and faced his brother.
"Edd.. What.. Are.. You.. Doing?" His words sounded forced as if he was having trouble speaking. "You..are.. Breaking.. The.. Rules..."
"I know. But I was worried about you...Hey.. Look you have your half monster form!" Edd replied happily and Tom looked at his tail.
"No... I.. Just.. Have.. A.. Tail." Tom sighed, before he looked back at Edd. "How.. Are.. You.. Doing?"
"Feeling a bit lonely. You?" Edd sighed sitting on Tom's bed.
"Same... And.. Kinda.. In.. Pain.." Tom muttered, and Edd nodded. "Hey.. You.. Wanna.. Play.. Some Uno?.." He asked, Edd smiled.
"Sure!" Edd laughed as he grabbed the deck of cards. He sat down across from Tom and shuffled the cards.

The sun was almost up, its rays began to filter into Tom's room. Tom's tail had disappeared, Edd and Tom had both fallen asleep. Their Uno cards where scattered around them. Tom opened up his void eyes to see Edd asleep on the floor across from him.
"Hey Edd, Wake up! Its almost Sunrise!" Tom said shaking his brother awake.
"Five more minutes.." Edd grumbled sleepily, Tom rolled his eyes.
"Sorry Sleeping beauty you need to get back to your room before Dad finds out, you broke the rules." He reminded his brother, who shot up. "See ya!" Tom told him as Eds ran out and back to his own room. Tom quickly began to pick up the Uno cards. Pat knocked on his door, "Come in!" He called. Pat opened up the door, he had blood on him from the animals he might have attacked during the full moon.
"Can you let Bella know to its safe to come up?.." He asked, Tom nodded since he was one of the few people she had told on how to let her know the night was over. Tom went downstairs and stood at the foot of the basement.
"On aika tulla ulos! Hirviöt ovat poissa! Yhdessä koko kuun!" (Its time to come out! The monsters are gone! Along with the whole moon!) He called into the darkness, there was a pause he could hear something move.
"Okei, tulen kiitos veli!" (Okay, I'm Coming thanks Brother!) Came her reply, he walked away, no one is supposed to know were she hides during the full moon in case they can't control their monster sides and go looking for her. Ringo ran out first, she ran to Edd and immediately began to purr. Bella followed her, she put Ringo's food and water dishes down.
"Was Ringo good?" Edd asked, and Bella smiled.
"When is she not?" She asked with a laugh, Edd nodded.
"True." He smiled, he began to pet the gray tabby. "I've always wondered what you do the keep yourself entertained down there.."
"Oh..Simple I give Ringo some Catnip." She answered, "Then I watch her go nuts for and hour." She smirked, Edd looked at her.
"Where did you get Catnip?.." He asked, and she shrugged.
"I find some on the walk home, and dry it in the basement room." She explained and handed Edd a bag of dried plants. "She loves it, but give her too much." She instructed him, Tom shook his head while smiling.
"I wonder where Tord is?" Tom asked, as Tord came downstairs.
"Speak of the devil and he shall come!" Bella laughed, Tord glared at her. "What?"
"Shut it." Tord growled, she got the hint and kept her mouth shut. His phone began ringing, he took it out of his hoodie's pocket and answered it. "Uh.. Hello?..... Yeah its me..." Bella began to pack for school since she had to go. "Mhm......yeah.... Whatever... I can't today... I'm sick.. Yeah she is why?..." He looked at Bella who was packing her lunch, "oh.. Okay..... See you all tomorrow?...mkay.. Bye." He hung up the call, "I'm going to go get some sleep."
"Oh okay Bye! I got to go to school! So see you when I get home!" Bella said as she left, Tord went upstairs and closed his door behind him.
-later after school is over-
Tord's phone rang, waking him from his slumber. He sleepily answered it,
"Uh Hello?"
"Tord! You have to help me!"
"Bella what the hell? I was trying to sleep!"
"OH MY GOD! HE'S GOT A FUCKING GUN!"
"Can you not yell?"
"-gunshots and laughing- FUCKING RUN YOU HEAR ME?! GO!"
"Bella stop screaming.."
"-more gunshots- HEL-..."
"Bella?.. Hello?.. Bella are you still there?.." Tord asked, but she had hung up. "What the hell was going on with her?" He sighed standing up, and changing, maybe she might call back.. He thought staying in his room near his phone.
