Andy watched his brother as they rode towards the docks. Elson was riding a beautiful white horse. Andy's was a blonde horse that reminded him of a vanilla cupcake. Andy smiled, unable to contain his excitement.
"What do you think they will be like Elson?"
"Hmm?" Mumbled Elson, his gaze distant.
"Anna and Elsa. What will they be like?" Andy repeated.
"I am sure they will be wonderful." Elson said absentmindedly. Andy frowned, knowing his brother didn't like meeting new people. Yet Andy wanted Elson to be happy. He took a deep breath and asked the question that he'd been wanting to ask all morning.
"Is everything alright?"
"I'm fine Andy." Elson replied rather coldly.
"Oh come on, talk to me!" Elson smiled a little. "Are you not nervous about meeting them?" He asked. Elson was still quiet. "At least they will understand us and our story! Also, I bet you and Elsa can practice ice magic together!" Andy nudged his brother and smiled. Elson looked up at him and a small smile returned to his face.
"It will be nice to be able to learn more about our powers together."
"Learn?" Said Andy with a laugh. "I prefer the method of just trying it and seeing what happens!"
"And that is usually when you get into trouble." Elson said, his smile getting a bit bigger.
"Hey!" Andy smirked. "This will be a whole new start for us." he grinned at his brother, then turned to look ahead of them.
As they drew nearer to the docks Andy could tell Elson was getting nervous again. "We'll be fine Elson." Andy tried to assure him. They dismounted the horses, Elson shaking slightly. Andy took his brothers hand. It was colder than ice. He tried to lead his brother to the ship. Elsons eyes were wide and his face was paler than usual. Fear dominated him and he was staring at the sails of a huge ship. Andy glanced at footprints made of ice everywhere Elson had stepped. He finally managed to get him up the gangway, the air around them growing cold. Andy could see ice on the riggings and ropes of the ship wherever Elson touched it. He would flinch each time something touched him. "Elson it's ok." Andy whispered. They went into a little room, and sat down. As the ship weighed anchor and the wind caught in the sails, the room seemed to have a glistening layer of ice along the walls and floor. Elson was holding his head in his hands, his whole body trembling. Besides how he trembled, and the gentle rocking of the ship, Elson did not move for the entire journey. Andy felt useless. All he could do was sit down next to his brother and wait for the trip to be over.
