Chapter 3 - Meet My " Dad "

Breanna P.O.V.

I sat on the couch patiently waiting for Justin to get back. I was excited to meet his dad. I don't know why Justin doesn't like him. He's just stubborn.

Moments later I heard the door open and there stood Justin and a homeless looking man. I guess that's his dad.

" Breanna, this is Jeremy. Jeremy, Breanna. " He said.

I waved and smiled. " Nice to meet you. I'm Justin's girlfriend. " I shook his hand.

" Really? Son, I didn't know you had a girlfriend. " He said looking at Justin who just rolled his eyes.

" So are you staying for dinner? " I asked Jeremy.

" I don't know if Justin would like that. " He said looking a little upset.

" He's right, I wouldn't. " Justin but in.

" Nonsense, you can stay. " I smiled.

I could see Justin behind his father getting a little annoyed. He looked like he didn't want his father here at all.

" Bre, can I talk to you? " He said grabbing my hand and pulling me up the steps.

Once we got all the way upstairs, we entered his room and he closed the door.

" Why would you ask him to stay for dinner? " He snapped.

" Because he's your father. " I stated obviously.

" So what? He didn't do anything but cause trouble for my family. "

" You know what? Maybe the reason why you're always so angry is because you-... "

" Don't even. " Justin said sternly.

I sighed. " Why can't you just give him one chance? "

" I don't want to. "

" Please? For me? " I pleaded, wrapping my arms around his waist.

" Ugh, fine. "

We exited the room and went downstairs in the living room. Jeremy was sitting on the couch. It was still kind of early so I didn't know what we should.

I was about to say something until Justin spoke up.

" I have to go take care of something. You stay here a be the best of friends. " Justin said sarcastically before exiting the house with a loud slam.

I immediately turned to Jeremy. " I'm so sorry sir. Justin is just- "

" No I get it. He's not too excited to see me. Who would be? I'm a screw up. " He shamed himself.

Well I mean it's kind of true.

I wonder if he'll tell me about Justin. Why he left him. I don't want to be all in his business, but I'm dying to know.

" So just curious, why did you leave Justin? " I asked him.

He looked up at me and sighed. " I was just.... Confused, having a child when I was 18. I wasn't ready so I just ran from my problems. There was times when I thought about coming back but my life was already messed up. I didn't want my son to have anything to do with my life. "

Awe that's so sad knowing Justin's dad did care. I just wish Justin would give him the time of day.

It's almost 9 and I've made dinner already. Well, I ordered food. Justin still wasn't here so me and his dad have just been bonding a little. He's actually a nice guy, I wish Justin would see that.

After dinner we sat in the living room and Jeremy was telling me how he didn't have a place to stay. So I thought why not invite him to stay here until he gets back on his feet. I know Justin won't like the idea though.

Moments later the front door opened and he glanced at his dad and I before heading upstairs.

" I'm sorry I'll be back Jeremy. " I said before trotting up the stairs after Justin.

I followed him into his room shutting the door. " What's your problem and where have you been? " I folded my arms across my chest.

He took a step toward me with a grin on his face. " That's not your concern. "

" Yes it is. I'm your girlfriend. "

" A very annoying one at that. " He laughed.

I could smell the scent of beer on him. The over whelming smell was like a punch in the face.

" Justin have you been drinking? You know I don't like when you drink. " I asked him.

" I had some water this morning. " He laughed.

" Jay, I'm serious. "

His face wasn't bubbly anymore, it was now angry and frustrated.

" Mind your fucking business. " He rolled his eyes. " Go chat with Jeremy. "

" Justin he's your dad. "

" So fucking what? I hate him. He needs to get out. " he sternly said.

" No I told him he could stay as long as he needs. " I retorted.

Justin has an extremely angered look on his face and his eyebrows were furrowed. " What did you say? "

" He could s-stay as long as he wants. " I said a little bit more cowardly due to the fact I was intimidated by Justin.

" Why!? I don't fucking want him here! He's made terrible mistakes! He ruined my life! I had to grow up without a role model! " He snapped.

Was he seriously talking about mistakes?

" I guess that's why you act the way you do now. " I mumbled.

" Excuse me? "

" I said ' I guess that's why you act the way you do know '! You act like you haven't ruined anyone's life or made mistakes. Remember when you ruined my life? Let's not forget I was k-... " I stopped myself.

I knew that was a sensitive topic for him and he always regretted it.

" The fuck is that suppose to mean? " He said. I could see his fists clench.

" You've killed people. " I stated with no confidence what so ever.

" So what? You think I g-give a fuck? " He said stumbling a bit due to the drunkeness and laughing.

" That's not funny. " I rolled my eyes to turn and walk out the door but Justin grabbed my arm, pulling me back to him.

" Let me go. " I mumbled.

" No. "

" Your dad is downstairs. "

" I don't give a fuck. " He said slurring his words.

I just sat there waiting for him to let go of me. He tightened his grip a little before speaking again.

" Give me a kiss. " He demanded.

" No, move. "

He giggled. " You're so cute when you're mad. "

Justin began kissing me on my cheek and down my neck, tickling a bit. But I had to fight it.

I pushed him off leaving the room. I heard his footsteps behind me but I continued downstairs.

Once I got there I didn't see Jeremy. I turned to Justin.

" He's gone. "
