But Alex Pall put on a brave face on Sunday as he hit the red carpet with fellow member of The Chainsmokers Andrew Taggart, wearing a black suit with a white rose on the lapel.

The nod to the Times Up movement against sexual harassment comes after the DJ was busted red handed hooking up with a mystery blonde on CCTV earlier this month by long-term girlfriend Tori Woodward.

He added: '(I've learnt) to be a better person and care for those who love you.'

His frank comments come after Alex's now ex-girlfriend Tori shared surveillance camera footage showing him the making out with a young blonde woman and grabbing her rear with both hands.

Happier times: The pair are pictured here in a snap from Woodward's Instagram account

Tori captioned the damning video: 'They'll look you in the eyes and tell you they love you. Then destroy you without a second thought.'

A second video — captioned 'Men are trash. Don't ever forget it' — showed another angle of the amorous duo. However the footage was deleted from Tori's feed by Instagram because it didn't 'follow community guidelines'.

She appeared to blame her now ex-boyfriend for reporting it by posting the Instagram deletion notice with the caption: 'Taking it like a man.'

The gala event is being held at the legendary Madison Square Garden in New York City and is hosted by funnyman James Corden.

This is the first time music's biggest night has been in the Big Apple since 2003 as it has been at Staples Center in Los Angeles for over a decade straight.

It is shaping up to be quite the event as Jay Z leads artists with a whopping eight nominations.

Among the 48-year-old rap mogul's nods were the top three honors including album, song, and record of the year.

The Chainsmokers are nominated for one Grammy, for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for their song Something Just Like This recorded with Coldplay.

MY PERSONAL OPINIONS

Well we are nobody to talk about their personal life.  Everyone has done something or the else miserable in our life. Probably this got shot up real high. I know how miserable Victoria must be feeling.  It requires a strong heart to move on with this sudden heartbreak. May she get the strength to do it.

I love them for the music they make and I'd be wrong to mix their music and personal life together.

What he did was wrong. I cant oppose them but I dont support him.

He feels guilty for what he did. lets give him a chance
