Elizabeth walked into GCPD and walked to her brother.
"Jimmy, what happened?"
Jim nodded towards the young girl with curly hair.
"I need to send her somewhere, she is an orphan."
Elizabeth gasped.
"Poor thing. Can't she stay with us? Just for a little while?"
Jim looked at his sister.
"I guess she could. Her name is Selena Kyle."
Elizabeth nodded.
"I'll talk to her."
Jim nodded as she walked to young girl.
"Hi. I'm Beth. What's your name?"
Selena looked at her.
"I believe your brother already told you."
Elizabeth smiled.
"He did but I want to hear it from you."
Selena smiled slightly.
"Selena Kyle."
Elizabeth grinned.
"That's very cute name. I talked to my brother and you'll be staying with us for a couple of weeks. I hope you don't mind?"
Selena nodded.
"Okay. I love your clothes."
Elizabeth grinned.
"I was feeling a little confident today. And I love your outfit."
Jim walked to the two.
"Selena, you'll stay with us. For now, you can stay with my sister and she can take you home when her shift is over. Right, Beth?"
Elizabeth nodded.
"Let's go, Selena. See you later, Jimmy."
Selena sat on Elizabeth's desk as she worked. Just then Edward walked in with files.
"Ms Gordon? I brought you files you asked for."
Elizabeth smiled.
"Thank you, Mr Nygma. But I could have come for them."
Edward shook his head.
"Nonsense. It wasn't a bother. Oh, who is this?"
Elizabeth smiled.
"Mr Nygma, this is Selena Kyle. Selena, this is Edward Nygma."
Edward smiled at young girl.
"Hello, Selena."
Selena smirked.
"Hello, Edward."
Elizabeth smiled as Edward waved and walked out.
Selena grinned.
"So, Nygma?"
Elizabeth grinned.
"He is just a friend, Selena. Let's go home."
Two girls and Jim ate dinner as Elizabeth smiled.
"So, Selena. Ready to see your new room?"
Selena nodded and the two walked to a nice, big room.
"Thank you, Beth. For everything.
Elizabeth smiled.
"Nonsense. You are a family now. I'll leave you to it. Goodnight."
Selena smiled.
"Night.
