Elizabeth grinned as Selena looked at her new school.
"I promise you'll love it. If you need anything, please ask me. I'm so proud of you, darling."
Selena smiled and hugged Elizabeth.
"Thanks, Lizzie. See you later."
Elizabeth waved as she walked into school.
At GCPD, Elizabeth was carrying a heavy box of files to detective Bullock. She felt hands take the box from her and smiled up at Edward.
"Ms Gordon."
Elizabeth smiled.
"Mr Nygma. Thank you."
Edward smiled and walked with her to Bullock's desk. He put the box on table and Harvey glared at him but stopped as Elizabeth smiled.
"Here are the files you asked for detective Bullock."
Harvey smiled.
"Thank you, Elizabeth."
Elizabeth smiled and took hold of Edward's hand and pulled him after her.
"Can I ask for a favour, Eddie?"
Edward nodded.
"Of course."
Elizabeth smiled.
"I have to go get Selena from school but Jim went with Barbara to dinner and took the car. I was wondering if you could give me a lift?"
Edward nodded.
"Of course, Ms Gordon. Let's go."
Elizabeth smiled as Selena talked excitedly about meeting new friends.
"So you like it?"
Selena nodded.
"I love it. Hey, Ed. Do you want to stay for dinner?"
Elizabeth's eyes widened and she smiled.
Edward looked at Elizabeth and then at Selena.
"I don't want to intrude."
Elizabeth giggled.
"Nonsense, Eddie. Please. It will be nice."
Edward nodded.
"Sure."
Elizabeth put on table some lasagna and smiled.
"Dig in."
Selena ate hers fast and stood up.
"I have to do my homework. See you later, Ed."
Edward smiled.
"Goodnight, Selena."
Elizabeth smiled at Edward, as he was about to leave.
"I had fun, Eddie. You have to come more."
Edward smiled and nodded.
"Uh, yeah. Thanks for dinner, Lizzie."
Elizabeth grinned at the nickname. She stood on her toes, him being too tall and pressed a small kiss on his cheek.
"Goodnight, Eddie."
Edward blushed slightly and grinned.
"Goodnight, Lizzie."
