"I'm just saying, I've never really been into the whole poetry-thing. I don't get where you've got it from." Her dad said before taking a sip of his freshly made coffee. She sighed. "How can you not like poetry? It's so beautiful and meaningful and what you like and write really say a lot about a person." She took a bite from the apple in her hand. "I have never read or heard anything that moved something inside of me." He shrugged. "See, that's the reason you 'don't like' poetry." Her hand covered her mouth as she yawned. Her dad raised a brow at her. "If a poem hasn't ripped apart your soul, you haven't experienced poetry" she grinned. "Guessing that is from one of those authors?" she simply nodded. "Edgar Allan Poe."
"Why don't you just bring your book?" her brother asked for the third time. He had been nagging for half an hour, trying to get her to go with him to the park. "Please" he was looking at her with large eyes and a pout. After standing like that for a few seconds he realised it was to no use and stopped. "Pretty please?" This was his last attempt. "Fine, but then you'll have to come home afterwards and not wander off to one of your friends." she said and got to her feet.
The walk to the park seemed even shorter than it had the day before. Theodor kept singing, although she had no idea what song he was singing, she still liked it. "What song is that?" she turned to him. He smiled. "I just sang whatever came to my mind." He shrugged. She slowly nodded, facing forwards yet again. If that was what was on his mind, she knew he had the chance to be great writer if he wanted to. "It was superb."
