The Aftermath

Perrie's POV

That bang you heard? Yeah that was crazy Kerry shooting my husband! He's having a operation, She ruptured his lung. I'm sat in the waiting room, have been for 2 long scary hours. I'm so worried. Alex is strong but I'm starting to question whether he's strong enough for this. It's going to be a long recovery..not Physically, it won't affect him like that..I just mean mentally. Kerry found the kids..Josh and Ben were safe but Kerry only wanted Fi. She grabed the poor girl by the hair which made Alex loose his shit. Nobody can hurt his kids especially not his newly found Princess.He pushed Kerry not knowing about the gun but he was the one that got hurt. Steffan rang the police and ambulance..that brings you up to know really.

Ffion's POV

Dad's in theater..he got shot for me..he took a bullet for saving me. I don't know if I'll ever be able to repay him! I just can't wait to see him. Perrie keeps saying that he'll be okay..but I don't know, I can see that shes not 100% sure.
"Josh.." I whisper but he's asleep in between me and Perrie. It's not even 9pm but he didn't put his laptop away until late.
Dad's mam, Wendy, or nan should I say, has taken Ben to her house. Lucky him, he didn't see dad get shot. I suppose I should be more positive about this but it's hard. I only got here 5 days ago and drama's already striked!

--two days later--

No one's POV

Alex has returned home with  Josh and Ffion. Ben is staying at Wendys still. Josh and Ffion are both having two weeks off school but poor Perrie has to go and tour the U.K leaving for three months.

Josh's POV

Me and Fi are taking care of dad. It's hard seeing him like this. He can hardly move his upper body. He says that he's fine but we can tell that he's not coping. Fi is doing such a good job, she cleans his dressings and helps him do simple things without him making a fuss. When I try and help him, he goes off in one about not being a real man if you show your emotions to your kids. I don't blame him though..it's been tough for him too.

Ffion's POV

I'm sat at the island catching up with work from school. It's math, my worst subject. I'm in set 1 some how but I just don't have a clue about this certain topic. I turn around and see dad stood in the door way, I quickly wipe my tears of frustration hoping he doesn't see.
"Hey" I say
"Hiya" he replies
"I need your help with something" I say
"What's wrong?" He asks walking slowly towards me, sitting on the stool beside me
"I don't get this work, my teacher sent it to me but he didn't explain what to do or anything" I say. A tear drips down onto my book
"Well that's not going to help is it Princess?" He says while gently wiping the tears from my cheek. He pulls the sheets closer and reads them.
"Alright..so question 1, Work out 11 × (18 + 22) ÷ 7...do you know the Bidmas method?" He asks
"No..I've never heard of it" he takes my work book and starts writing down something. He explains the method and I realize that its actually easy!
"Thanks dad!" I say while I work out the other 29 questions
"Anytime Fifi" he replies before kissing my head and looking through my other work. I type something in to the mac book in front of me. Obviously dad and Perrie got it for me, along with a phone and I pad. I'm so grateful but I don't care about the money. I never will.
"Perrie's ringing you babe" I pick up my phone instantly accepting her facetime
"Hello you!" She says
"Hiii!" I smile back, I so want to call her mum but I don't know how she'll take it
"What's happening babe?" She asks
"Nothing much, Josh's at nans with Ben and I'm sat with dad doing my school work"
"Lovely, lovely"
"What about you?"
"I'm sat with Jesy eating Red velvet cake and drinking tea"
"Urghhh my favorite!!"
"I know sweets, that's why I rang you"
"To make me jealous?"
"No!" She laughs "because it made me think of you"
"Awhhh how cute"
"Yeah, I've been missing you Fi, your like my baby girl"
I smile a little
"Really?"
"Yes!"
"So...I've been thinking, can I call you mam? I've always wanted to but I didn't think if you'd comfortable with it.."
"I'd love it if you called me mam" she grins
"Alright then mam"
"Sounds perfect. Look Petal, I've got to go I'll ring you tomorrow"
"Aw okay,  bye!"
"Byeee"
"I love you!" I say before she hangs up. I put my phone down and carrys on typing the email to my maths teacher. Dad however, is grinning from ear to ear at mine and mams conversation
"I know that your grinning like mad" I say without even looking up
"I am..I am. I'm proud of you Fifi" he says
"Thanks dad" I say as he pulls me into his chest
