"Lily."

"Lily, wake up."

Lily opened her eyes and felt someone poking her arm. She blinked twice, and straightened instantly.

How could she have fallen asleep?
She was in Professor Binns' class, and to be honest she wasn't surprised she had fallen asleep. About 75% of the class also had their heads on the desks and we're snoring. How could Binns NOT notice?

Lily turned back to her waker.

"What time is it, Marls?" She asked, yawning.

Marlene grinned.
"Not night time, and we have about 20 minutes left."

Lily groaned.

She turned to her left to see if anyone had noticed she had fallen asleep, but wasn't surprised to see James' head rested on his empty piece of partchment, his glasses askew and his hair flopping onto the desk.

Lily couldn't help but grin. James was so much better like this. No more sassy comments and constant questions about Hogsmeade. He looked far more handsome.

Wait... What? No no no! James Potter was NOT handsome. Absolutely and most definitely not. And i-

"Earth to Lillllyyyy?"

Marlene fingers snapped in front of her face.

Lily jumped as Marlene looked at her pointedly.

"Are you listening to any of this?"

Lily shrugged but Marlene suddenly gasped.

"Wait, Lils, where you just staring at James Potter?" Marlene asked, her mouth open.

Lily blushed.
"What? No no of coarse not! Um...sorry when did the giants attack England?"

Marlene narrowed her eyes at her before shrugging.

"They attacked England? I thought we were learning about when the rebelled against the Ministry?"

Lily shrugged and looked down at her partchment, frowning and began to cross things out.

James opened one bleary eye. Aah, he must still be dreaming as a wonderful sight me his eyes.

Lily Evans sitting right next to him quickly scribbling down something on a long roll of partchment.

James grinned and looked at his own work. ...well.. what work? The most James had done all lesson was draw a little love heart in the margin with the initials L.E. inside along with the date and title.

He groaned.

Lily glanced up at him but quickly continued her work as she clearly didn't want someone to disturb her - especially him.

James drummed his fingers against the desk, humming the theme of Jurassic Park.

"Shut up James, I'm thinking." Lily whispered.

James looked at her.

"Hey Evans, did you just talk to me?"

"I talk to you pretty much every day, Potter."

"Yeah, I know but I usually start the conversation, and it usually ends with you telling me to shut up or go away."

Lily rolled her eyes, still writing.

"So Evans, you busy tonight?"

"Don't even bother asking, Potter, as you and I both know perfectly well that even if I was busy tonight I would probably never agree to whatever you are proposing." Lily muttered.
