Best Man

I saw her in a white car,
She’s radiant like a star.
She has a veil that covers her face,
Still my heart is like on race.
She steps out and reaches her dad’s hand,
That brings more shaking to my stand.
As she approaches the porch,
I’m fading like a flame on a torch.
She smiles as she passes the crowd,
The Oh’s and Ah’s become loud.
Her dad kisses her as he let her hand go,
She looked on where I am, I know.
She’s crying but smiling,
Tears of joy, that's what I’m thinking.
This ceremony will soon end,
The wedding of the girl I love to my best friend.
